Another successful delivery and installation! 💙🦾 Situated in the northern region of Norway, in the city of Alta, our Eggersmann TEUTON Z 50 now holds the title of being the most northerly Eggersmann machine. This single shaft shredder efficiently processes old wood. While the clean wood is utilized for material recycling, the mixed and treated wood is utilized in combustion plants for energy and heat generation. Through the shredding process, not only does it save space for the client, but it also diminishes the necessity for transport. Notably, wood destined for recycling often finds its way to Sweden, where it takes on new life in iconic Swedish furniture. #Eggersmann #Recyclingtechnology #WorldWithoutWaste #Recycling #Teuton #shredding

I'M PROUD OF STREET GRABING: There will be no cars here, it may be full of people, Pop-up shop, insects and toilet rolls. The spectrum becomes broad on lawn and asphalt. SUSTAINABILITY IN PRACTICE IN MY HOMETOWN. On Saturday 8 June, "Green Day" will be organized for the first time in Haugesund, closing the street. The entire area will be filled with various sales, stands, food and drink, games and various activities - A meeting place for the whole family. People need to get their act together. We cannot continue as we are doing - We are talking about a consumer society and the protection of nature and the environment. The theme of "Green Day" is focused on SUSTAINABILITY, REUSE, ENVIRONMENT and responsible CONSUMPTION. The city's environmental station HIM has product samples and information about composting, and also has a pop-up from the second-hand shop. There will be sales of used bicycles and various items. It will also be possible to hand in hazardous waste. The starting point was a dialogue around a campaign to reduce food waste in the municipality, but found that it could be fun to have an even broader focus on sustainability. Human sustainability is also emphasized. INDUSTRY 5.0 https://lnkd.in/dvUTZisZ APPLAUD THE MEASURE - COMPLETELY IN LINE WITH THE PRINCIPLES PREVENTION AGAINST WASTING - IN ALL FORMS WASTE PREVENTION IN ALL CATEGORIES: PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, URBAN, PROCESS, TIME (see attachment in comment) GOOD LUCK WITH THE MOVE - LET IT RESURRECT SOON! https://lnkd.in/dg_as3tW

🏭 🍃 Being ECO goes way beyond ECO attitudes and ECO #heattreatment and metallurgical processing technologies. At #SECOWARWICK we also turn our facility green, by building and implementing a sustainable production strategy. We have a heat sluice in one of our Polish assembly shops. 🌡️ The thermal sluice located at the reloading or entrance gate protects against the loss of heat during the heating season by providing an air lock at the shop entrance that keeps the warm air inside when the door is opened. And let's add that the door is opened more than 30 times a day. And if there is a constant heat loss, then greater natural gas consumption is necessary to heat this large area. The new gate protects the huge shop from cooling down, so it is certainly an ecological solution, but the second ECO element is worth mentioning: we received a return on investment after 40 days of use! Look for more green ideas put into practice. Check out how ecology is inscribed in SECO/WARWICK's nature at https://lnkd.in/d7BjuZAz

“Three quick ones” with Jesper Schmidt Hansen (Sales Area Manager) at Vetrotech Saint-Gobain Nordic & Baltic. 1. What was the most significant reason why you decided to go on board with your products at Prodikt? Sustainability is one of the most important discussions and challenges globally, and both as Saint-Gobain and as individuals we want to "make a difference" and contribute to a greener world. Sustainability is a shared responsibility and involves everything we do. Prodikt has developed a digital platform which is based on facts through EPDs and provides quick and easy access to products/solutions via their website/platform. Prodikt is independent and has been developed for all actors in the construction industry, which makes Prodikt our preferred business partner in Sweden. 2. How do you hope that Prodikt will actively contribute to increasing your competitiveness and sales? Vetrotech Saint-Gobain works dedicatedly with sustainability and has a clear goal towards 2050. I hope that this investment in green solutions will be prioritized and preferred over undocumented products/solutions and motivate more companies to make a difference. If there is no financial incentive in the end, I may be afraid that many will opt out of this agenda. Conversely, it must not be solely a desire for increased competitiveness and sales, but a sincere focus on contributing to a more sustainable world. We must all take our responsibilities seriously and expect that large companies like Saint-Gobain will make an extra big effort. 3. Can you/you give some concrete examples of how you work with Prodikt towards the market. Vetrotech Saint-Gobain does not focus on its own products, but rather on systems in which our products are included. Therefore, we have contacted business partners/customers to encourage them to cooperate through Prodikt and further to motivate them to cooperate with Prodikt. The aim is that all our biggest partners must be part of Prodikt, where they can show both their own products, but also joint systems with Vetrotech and possibly others. #climatesmart #Prodikt #Vetrotech #VetrotechSaintGobain #SaintGobain #Climatesmart #building #climatecalculations #sustainability #sustainablebuilding #environment #construction #constructionindustry #Greenbuildings

1... 10... 1,000... 1,000,000... A great start to the week: our latest CO2 storage site is up-and-running! This plant with partner Möckli Beton AG marks yet another step towards #netzero. 🕵🏼♀️ So what are those numbers about? 1 = our first box-type storage plant in operation. We're expanding our product range to standardize our tech and more easily integrate it into our recycling partners' sites 🏗️ 10 = our tenth storage plant to go into operation since we started this journey - and one of the biggest ones to date! 🔟 1,000 = how many tons of #CO2 the Möckli site can store every year 🌱 1,000,000 = how many tons of #CO2 we aim to remove from the atmosphere and store permanently in 2030 🚀 🔜 We're currently constructing around a dozen more storage as well as capture sites in Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. Onwards and upwards, the journey has just begun! 💪 #strongertogether #climateaction #carbonremoval #CDR

Executive Chairman at Polar Enviro | Infrastructure, Safety & Environmental Expert | Business Leader | Strategic Visionary
Through OmniGrip Direct - Australia Wide we're on a mission to divert glass from landfills and give it a new purpose. I’m proud to announce we’re Australia’s largest user of Australian #recycledglass for road #surfacing aggregate. By reusing glass for 100% of the aggregate in our surfaces, we're not just reducing emissions but also transforming safety. Our surfaces breathe new life into stockpiled glass, adding value and reducing its environmental impact. When our 1-3mm glass is used to resurface aged pavements, instead of replacing them, we reduce the volume of concrete and asphalt sent to licensed landfills, and the community disruption created by their replacement. With recycled glass and natural aggregates, our resurfacing solutions are paving the way to a greener, more sustainable future. #PolarEnviro #Innovation #SustainableFuture Justin Strunk, Polar Enviro

Yesterday, our CEO, Ivar Dembovski, joined a panel discussion on “Wood as a sustainable building material and carbon sink” at the Rural Fair ground in Tartu. The discussion was organized by the European Commission and was broadcast by the national paper Postimees Grupp and their Rural Life portal. The panel included: - Maive Rute, the Deputy Director-General and Chief Standardisation Officer, DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (GROW), European Commission - Mikk Marran, Director of the State Forest Management Centre - Kaja Pae, Head of the Department of Construction and Living Environment, Ministry of Climate - Jiří Tintěra, City Architect, City of Tartu The main focus of the discussion was on the benefits of wood as a future material and the importance of creating conditions for the use of wood in the construction industry to reduce the climate impact of the sector. The public sector has an important role in creating the regulatory environment for enhancing the use of low fossil emission materials and acting as a catalyst of change by setting examples in ordering new buildings and renovation of existing ones with such materials. The need to create regulatory conditions for improving the circular use of wood was emphasized. This includes the design of buildings in ways that allow them to be dismantled and the wood to be reused. Also emphasized was the need to maximize the local valorisation of the wood harvested in Estonia. Estonia has a highly developed mechanical processing industry, but the valorisation of those grades of roundwood that are not suitable for mechanical processing is very much underinvested. This results in this segment of roundwood being exported as raw material. Raitwood is annually producing around 150,000 m3 of planed softwood materials for the building industry. Recently, we finalized the necessary analyses and filed our Environmental Product Declaration. On average, every m3 of Raitwood painted wall panelling contains about 755 kg of biogenic CO2 sequestered from the atmosphere. At the same time, the production process from forest to the finished (painted) product has caused an emission of 129 kg of CO2. This results in nearly 6 times more CO2 being stored than emitted. #Raitwood #CO2 #Sustainability #Tartu
