We've been featured in Handelsblatt: "Learning with Figurines and Apps - A Good Idea?" ✨ We are thrilled that Handelsblatt (& Jan Lutz) has reported on EDURINO and has addressed a very important topic. 🚀 Our figurines, like the fox Mika and the dog Luca, guide children from the age of 4 through exciting learning worlds and adapt to their learning strengths. Many thanks also to Jan Reichelt (10x Founders) and Helen Knauf, who says that "EDURINO complements the range but is not the solution to childcare or education problems," while being a "completely legitimate, relieving, and sensible thing" in the family context. So, what remains? ▶️ The responsibility for early childhood education is a collective task and lies both within the family and institutional framework - that's why we are weekly in our partner kindergartens and at families' homes to develop the products with and for children. ▶️ Despite the Digital Pact, digitalization in kindergartens and schools is progressing extremely slowly - That's why we believe in the need to create solutions. ▶️ Digital media are part of children's everyday lives as a complement to traditional playing and learning, and that's why it is so important to cultivate a responsible, educational use of it from an early age. A huge thank you to our great team and our supporters! 💪 #edurino #edtech #handelsblatt #education #playfullearning

Children are capable of so much more independence than we might think—and they love it! Preschoolers are most interested in building functional independence. 🚰 They want to have basic mastery over their minds, bodies, and decision making. 🧐 At Guidepost, we tap into the preschooler’s interest and help them build their abilities step by step. 🪜 Here are our top 5 tips for helping preschoolers build independence at home or at school: 🧼 Encourage self-care: Help your preschooler master basic self-care tasks such as brushing their teeth, 🪥dressing themselves, 👕and putting on their shoes 👟 by providing child-sized tools, a clear space for them to practice these skills, and a demonstration of how to do different parts of the process. 🛠️ Create a prepared environment: Organize your home in a way that allows your child to easily access and manage their belongings. 🧺Place toys, art supplies, and other materials on low shelves or in baskets, making it simple for them to choose and put away items on their own. 🚀 🎯 Offer choices: Give your child opportunities to make decisions within age-appropriate limits. Allow them to select their clothes, snacks, or activities from a set of options. 🧩 This fosters decision-making skills and a sense of autonomy. 🧹Encourage practical life skills: Involve your preschooler in daily household tasks like setting the table, folding laundry, or preparing simple snacks. 🫐 These activities promote independence, fine motor skills, and a sense of responsibility. ✨ 🪷 Foster a sense of order: Establish routines and consistent expectations at home. ⏱️ Clearly communicate guidelines and provide visual cues, such as picture schedules or labeled storage bins, to help your child understand and follow daily routines independently. 💡 Was this helpful? Check out this upcoming webinar on "Cultivating Creativity: Leveraging Process Art + Play to Prioritize Agency, Flow and Belonging" "As early childhood educators, we all know that play-based, open-ended experiences in preschool set the stage for literacy, strengthen vocabulary, and engage the brain in higher-level thinking, like asking questions, generating ideas, and problem-solving. Most of all, programs in which children feel safe to explore and have agency over their choices are joyful environments where the children and adults build imagination, flexible thinking, and confidence."
