Interesting perspective on policy initiatives required for SAF deployment and adoption. There is no straightforward one-size-fits-all solutions. Lot depends on region, socioeconomic factors, economic growth, and cost of technology among other things that need to be considered. #decarbonisation #greenaviation #saf
Preeti Jain, Global Director of Policy, Chemicals & Carbon Solutions at LanzaTech talks about the approach that governments should take to ramp up the production of #sustainableaviationfuels. She also talks about the genesis of sustainability in #aviationby highlighting the end- role of recycling carbon to convert it into SAF. This and more #IATAAGM videos ⬇️ https://bit.ly/3IXYvyP

Every day, we push the boundaries of packaging innovation. And that includes packaging solutions that are kinder to our planet. For example, we are exploring inks derived from renewable resources like plants and vegetable oils. These biodegradable inks break down naturally after use, minimizing the environmental impact of traditional synthetic inks. Have you heard of other sustainable packaging innovations? Let us know in the comments! #PCI #SustainablePackaging #Innovation #FutureOfPackaging #Technology

Yesterday our #CEO and #Futurist in Chief Matthew Griffin ● 未来学家, المستقبلي was the opening #keynote at the 75th Annual Bureau of International Recycling Conference in #AbuDhabi where he spoke about the "#Future of #Recycling and the global Recycling Industry." Every year humanity extracts more than 100 BILLION tons of natural #resources from planet Earth which eventually ends up as 2.4 BILLION tons of landfill of which only 312 MILLION tons is recycled - this status quo is unsustainable by every measure. In his keynote Matthew talked about: 1) GEOPOLITICAL #TRENDS affecting material waste and resource flows 2) NEW GOVERNMENT POLICIES such as the EU's new Cross Border Adjustment Mechanism (#CBAM) which will force companies exporting to the EU to reduce their CO2 emissions - and affect the #EU recycling industry's market 3) EMERGING #TECHNOLOGY and how it's being used to accelerate the recycling process and lower industry costs 4) NEW MATERIALS such as new #alloys, plastics, and other materials which will change what is recycled, how its recycled, and recyclers processes and operations 5) THE ROLE OF #GENERATIVE #AI in new material design 6) THE ROLE OF SYNTHETIC #BIOLOGY in new recycling #enzymes and protein designs to recycle #plastics in new ways, and find new ways to extract rare earth metals (for example) from slags and other recycling byproducts 7) REPLACING TOXIC CHEMICAL SOLVENTS with new plant based more "environmentally friendly" solvents for plastic and metal recycling 8) NEW SCRAP METAL AND MECHANICAL RECYCLING TECH 9) ESG INVESTMENTS - all $50 Trillion worth that accelerate companies move to "sustainable business practises" And a lot lot more ... A big thank you to everyone at the BIR and the event, and thank you for all the questions and discussions after the session - we have a lot of work to do! 311 Institute #FanaticalFuturist #Recyle #OnePlanet #Sustainability
