Creating a culture that earns a lifetime of loyalty for hobbyist triathletes (we are known as “age-groupers”) is the ultimate goal of every Race Director. They provide us with a platform to challenge ourselves and become a part of an incredible community of like-minded triathletes. #trilife The Ironman brand has become synonymous with a lifestyle, culture, and achievement that only 1% can claim. It's amazing how a simple logo can represent so much more. #anythingispossible Take a moment to think about how many corporations have achieved the same level of recognition. By studying them and applying their principles to your brand, you too can create a culture and community that inspires lifetime loyalty. Let's all strive to create a culture that not only challenges us to achieve our goals but also fosters a sense of community and belonging. #agegroupers #foreverathlete #ironman #triforlife
At 82 years-old, Sister Madonna Buder became the oldest woman to finish an Ironman race, winning her age group at Ironman Canada in 2012. Since starting at age 52, she's completed an impressive 45 full Ironman races, proving that #agedoesnotmatter. Buder, also known as the "Iron Nun," holds the record for oldest competitor at the USA Triathlon National Championships, finishing third in the 85+ age group in 2019 at aged 89. With over 325 triathlons under her belt, she's a true inspiration to #keepmoving and #tryhardthings in life. #ironnun #winningatretirement #trilife

European Masters Athletics Championships marathon (Toruń, Poland (2024/03/23)): 3:51:28 Total: 311 (out of 493 finishers), Place 56th female, Age category 12th In short: no podium, but extraordinary results from a body and mind far from well-prepared. When registering, the plan was to defend my 2nd place on the podium. Life wanted otherwise. Getting to Toruń after sunny Lissabon was a bit of a shock too. When lining up at the start, under cold grey skies and drizzle, I couldn't shake the knowledge that my training had been far from ideal. Circumstances beyond my control had prevented from following my usual preparations. Nevertheless, I was ready for the challenge ahead... and would take 1km at a time. As the race began, could settle into a good rhythm, relying on pure determination to carry me through. Each kilometer usually has its own set of obstacles, both physical and mental, but the first lap went smoothly. First half in 1h47, 2 minutes faster than the race last week. Could get support from fellow runners, as the weather was not really on our side and cheering. The lack of training made itself known after passing 2 hours. The second lap was a bit of a struggle and fight against poor weather and doubt, reminding myself the resilience that brought me to this point. Every single step of the way. First walk happened at km29, little hill. Surprising walking did not happen earlier. Pretty cold under the light rain and the wind. Energy intake worked though perfectly, despite being totally on the "not-at-all-ok-food" list (pure sugar throughout). Nearing the finish line, exhaustion was overwhelming, but every bit of energy got gathered for one final push. No much cheer from the crowd, but the heart pumping, the tears dropping, and the smile growing were all summarizing this accomplishment under the rain. Pretty unconventional preparation for a race, but could prove that determination and grit can overcome even the greatest obstacles. This sense of pride glowing, time and placing are irrelevant today. I have just refused to let adversity define me. Impossible is nothing. No race plan until summer. I think. Hoping the body and mind get enough time to recover. The eyes suffered mostly during the race, the quads and calves were actually pretty fit after the race. Discipline and consistency are keys. Thanks Torùn, City of Angels, with your motto "Durabo" (I will endure). Good description of my day here. #training #marathontraining #happyathlete #pushingbeyondlimits #rainmakeswetunners #athleteatwork #opentowork #newchallengesaccepted #resilienceiskey #masterdatamanagementiseasierthanmarathontraining #givememyheartbeatback #motivationgetsyoustarteddisciplinekeepsyougoing #graveswarrior #ontheroadtorecovery #keepongrinding #impossibleisnothing #nohumanislimited

Helping endurance sports event organisers increase entries, boost sales, raise brand awareness, save time for focusing on impactful activities, and reduce stress, making their job easier
British Triathlon’s NEW Race Pass for Race Organisers: eventrac offers an automated time saving solution. British Triathlon, the governing body for triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and aqua bike events stipulates that participants must hold a race license which can be purchased as an annual membership or as a single-use Race Pass when they enter an event. However, the way event organisers sold the governing body’s single-use Race Passes needed updating to comply with relevant financial and data protection regulations. British Triathlon, eventrac and event organisers collaborated to develop an automated NEW Race Pass sales and management feature for eventrac users. eventrac’s newest feature enables race organisers to quickly sell and manage the purchase, transfer and refund of the governing body’s new single-use Race Pass. A short video explainer is available at https://lnkd.in/eWmAWDy2 Any Questions? If you’ve any questions about this time-saving feature please schedule a fact-finding chat or a demo to find out more
