How Are You Inventing the Future?
Richard Branson, gave an interview to Music Week Magazine on April 1st, 1986 where he shared that Virgin Music was developing a magic music box which would store every song in the history of the world for free and allow anyone to download this music for a small fee. BRANSON'S BOMBSHELL was the headline.
But the truth was that there was no new technology, no secret location, no master plan to upset the music business. It was a silly April Fool's joke.
But there was a visionary by the name of Steve Jobs that didn't think it was a joke.
He thought it was an amazing idea.
And after Sean Parker's Napster came and went, Apple Computers CEO Steve Jobs launched Itunes in 2001 and the Ipod in 2002.
The "Magic Music Box" wasn't a joke, it was reality.
So with that as the backdrop, I have two questions for you:
Question 1: Where are you dreaming, visioning, imagining, and seeing a future that hasn't been created yet?
Question 2: Where are you investing in that future you are dreaming, imagining, visioning and seeing?
To create a beautiful, amazing future full of infinite possibilities we have to see it first.

Mastering the Art of Promotion: Take a page from Usher's playbook! His strategic rollout ahead of his Super Bowl halftime performance was brilliant. From dropping a new album and announcing a tour to launching a Skims campaign AND additional promotion via Apple Music, the man maximized visibility and anticipation.
Lesson Learned: Spread your product/service across multiple platforms and prioritize partnerships with brands that align with your brand's identity to build buzz among your current and prospective customers.

TOP 20 HOLIDAY COMMERCIALS OF ALL TIME.
This is #7 (tie): Amazon
Maybe this choice is because of recency bias.
Maybe this choice is because of the music ( one of my fav songs).
Maybe this choice is because the product integration doesn't feel forced.
Maybe this choice is because it recalls a simpler time when even I had a wooden sleigh.
Maybe this choice is because of the hilarious choice of products.
But it's probably just because this is how buying something for others should make you feel.

Did you know you can't block songs, albums, or artist on Amazon Music! And the Explicit Content filter, ignores a hefty swath of NSFW content. AnD the story doesn't get much better for Parental Controls. There's a silver lining and its called Spotify, but even then Amazon Prime can sabotage your efforts to keep adult content off your Echo. In what is trending now...
Spotify is wondering whether any of us remember albums? They were cool, right? To find out, they've launched "Spotify Classics," a hub where you can relive the glory days of whole albums instead of just shuffling singles. The hub features everything from Rihanna's "Anti" to Beyoncé's "Lemonade," making you question whether an algorithm really understands what a "classic" is, or if it's just trying to be hip (which leads it into a hanging loop over whether hip is hip). And with a list curated by actual humans (gasp! these sapients could put AIs out of work), Spotify's making sure you know they've got taste – or at least, a really good guess at what you might like to argue about.
