Amazing people. I had the privilege of spending several hours with Brian and his colleagues while escorting my friend back home to his family in 2015. We landed at 05:30 am in ATL to be met by an honor guard. The Delta employees who volunteer for this this duty come from across the workforce, baggage handlers, tech ops and Cabin crew. They are the unsung hero’s of the Airline and I am glad to see this post recognizing them

Very proud of my ATL Customer Service Below Wing teammates who show up, rain or shine, to honor our fallen. I was lucky and honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with them on several occasions.

The United States of America is truly a blessing. Despite our differences, which are inevitable worldwide, one universal truth stands: when the call to stand united arises, soldiers, with their utmost confidence, resilience, and dedication, embody the ultimate sacrifice. This sacrifice includes those who have lost their lives in combat, those who return with diminished abilities, and those who come home in caskets draped with the American flag. It is crucial to remember that race, color, lifestyle—none of these matter when it comes to a soldier's service and sacrifice. We must honor them all equally. When a casket arrives and hands touch it with reverence, we must also recognize the families who have lost a vital part of their lives. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Delta Honor Guard, whose approval by Delta Air Lines ensures that respect lives on with every soldier's return. Their dedication is felt on every flight, and for this, I am immensely thankful. Let us continue to bless those who honor our soldiers, and may God bless America and the families who have lost loved ones. #delta honor guard #soldiers #dedication #God Bless America #sacrifice #united states #thank you

I have been on a flight carrying one of our fallen soldiers home. The pilot asked all of us onboard to please stay seated upon arrival to allow the soldier’s officer to deplane first. It was silent and everyone honored the captain’s wishes. It was very touching and very respectful of how the fallen soldier was treated. I would hope this for all flights and all airlines when called to help, I was on a Delta flight when I experienced this. While it was a very sad moment I was also very proud as an American to witness the respect by everyone. My grandfather served in the Korean War in the Navy and while he came home, I know some of his team did not. Our soldiers give tirelessly to the entire world and I am truly grateful for their service. Thanks for sharing this story to remind us all how blessed we are to be protected by the best!

So thankful to Delta for bringing my Father home to rest with my Mother.  My Father fought in WW II and my Uncle in Vietnam. I am forever grateful.❤️🙏🏼✝️☘️

With all due respect, I feel discriminated against with this airline because because I was a foreigner, they did not give me the opportunity to continue with the employment process. I have nothing against the airline, they just have to give more opportunities to foreign staff who want to work and improve themselves.
