I'd like to see a follow-up in a few years for them to check how many of these companies did hit that $1 billion mark. My prediction is that achieving a billion dollar value is not going to be all that significant in a few years. It's already become so common that we have far more unicorns than were even imagined in mythological works of arts. 🦄 Combine that with the rate of inflation, and you'd see that what will add up to a billion in a few years holds the value of what was measured in the hundreds of millions in the recent past. 💸 #B2B #SaaS #unicorns #predictions

It's harder to get funding during these times so naturally there is less competition. There is a plethora of available talent looking for roles. It's easier to identify if your product is a "must-have" or "nice-to-have". ⚡️ A summary of his talk at SaaStr about AI & its impact on society AI is moving so fast & there is so much unknown. It's easy to get paranoid that what we are building as entrepreneurs today will be irrelevant tomorrow. What's the innovator's dilemma in GTM tech? There is an opportunity to disrupt seat-based pricing models. Entrepreneurs should think of their businesses in phases that include practical scenarios for today but plan for massive AI adoption & rapid advancement. ⚡️ Why Mark's more excited about product-led growth (#PLG) today than ever PLG has settled in & is no longer just a hot trend. PLG is a GTM motion & business model, not a technology innovation. PLG roots your business in a better definition of product-market fit. It's a disruptive business model & can protect against competitors undercutting you. During the last year I’ve studied ~200 B2B2C SaaS startups. Study their product, their customers, their competition, their communication channels, their founders, their teams, their roadmaps, their marketing campaigns, their growth rate, reasons for why they are failing, and last but not least, why they’re succeeding. At some point I started seeing a pattern for the ones that are skyrocketing: 📝Public Backlogs📝 Be transparent about your roadmap and let your users decide on what you should be doing next. #developertools #buildinginpublic
