Great to see that Jemena Gas Networks’ 2025 Plan has now been submitted to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER)! Our 2025 Plan details our pricing and services for the 2025-30 period and reflects what our customers have told us is important to them. It includes 10 initiatives, shaped by our customers, for us to action: 🔵 Invest in renewable gas connections 🟢 Speed up the recovery of $300m in assets 🔵 Take a targeted approach to gas mains replacement 🟢 Invest in technology (Picarro cars) to detect gas leaks 🔵 Increase the user pays portion of new connections 🟢 Enhance our vulnerable customer program 🔵 Replace 8,000 aging, defective and hard-to-reach meters with new digital meters 🟢 Retain a user pays approach to permanent disconnections 🔵 Implement changes to our tariff structures 🟢 Implement a hybrid form of price control We believe our 2025 Plan balances the needs of our customers today with future generations, mainly through upfront actions and investment that is aimed at supporting a fair and equitable energy transition. It was indeed a pleasure to attend the European Liquid Gas Congress, which took place last week at the 🇫🇷 Lyon Convention Centre. Our IAM VP Marco Seimandi spoke at “Liquid gases: Delivering today & preparing for the future mobility future” panel, giving an overview of the accomplishments impacts on #LPG of the #EU energy policy, and drawing a picture of the challenges and opportunities on the horizon. Our Project Support Director Core Business, Angelique Berden, spoke at the “Understanding and Addressing Autogas Consumers” panel, focused on fuel affordability as a key aspect taken into account by consumers when choosing LPG-fueled cars. The theme for this year’s Congress, ‘Delivering today. Preparing for tomorrow’ is at the heart of the commitment of the liquid gas industry. Providing reliable and accessible energy solutions to European citizens, with the increasing production of renewable liquid gases such as renewable LPG, also means providing sustainable alternative fuels for low-emissions transportation and helping decarbonize our future. #ELGC2024 #lpg #fuel #co2

Yesterday Catherine Fiamma MacGregor announced strong growth in ENGIE's results for 2023. A successful year for our teams in Networks activities, which are essential to ensure the security of energy supply, and which also accompany the Group's transformation. ⚡ Last year, we continued to develop electrical transmission lines, winning a 30-year concession to build and operate 1,000 kilometers of assets in Brazil which will be added to the 5,700 kilometers already operated by the Group. ♻ Over the same period, we contributed to the development of #biomethane in France, with an annual production capacity of up to 10.8 TWh connected to ENGIE networks, representing an increase of 2.6 TWh compared with December 31, 2022. We have also begun our expansion in Europe with the acquisition of Ixora Energy Limited, a UK-based leader in biomethane production, which will contribute to our goal of 10 TWh per year of biomethane production by 2030 in Europe. 📄 Recent communications and decisions by CRE, France's energy regulator, have also reaffirmed the vital role that gas infrastructures will play in the years ahead, and protected the long-term sustainability of gas network tariffs. 👍🏼 Last year, the actions of the Elengy - ENGIE GROUP, GRTgaz, STORENGY and GRDF teams once again helped to ensured energy security for France and Europe during the winter. 🆕 2023 also saw the inauguration of HyPSTER, the very first renewable #hydrogen storage demonstrator in a salt cavern, paving the way for the creation of a renewable hydrogen storage industry for Europe. By building a solid network of electrical transmission lines and relying on gas infrastructures that can adapt to renewable gases, our Group is reaffirming its belief in an #EnergyTransition based on the alliance of the molecule and the electron, a necessary condition for a reliable and affordable energy system. 👏🏼 Well done everyone!

New reports from Australian Hydrogen Centre (AHC) confirm the practicality and economic viability of delivering 100% renewable hydrogen via gas distribution networks, opening doors to a greener future. AHC modelling shows that not only is a renewable gas future achievable – but that it could result in stable energy bills for consumers, and create more than 12,000 new jobs in construction, and more than 5,500 ongoing jobs in a new hydrogen industry across South Australia and Victoria. If Australia is going to be successful in building a green #hydrogen industry, a lot of capital needs to be deployed and we all need to be moving in the same direction. On that basis alone it is great to see the Australian Hydrogen Centre produce these reports outlining the path forward and it's important to see gas transmission and distribution companies investing significant funds in early stage green hydrogen pilot projects in multiple jurisdictions across Australia.
