After five and a half years at Babbel – still a fantastic company and a great place to work! – it was time for something new. Looking for a fresh challenge in an industry I never worked for, I joined the Volkswagen subsidiary Diconium as Principal Specialist for AI, machine learning and the like. First time in automotive, first time in consulting and services, and taking a break from management. It has been a blast so far – great people, strong culture. And hiring... ;-) #work #hiring

Had a blast speaking at #applydatasummit with my co-speaker Arash Azhand, diving into trusted AI, explainable AI, and AI certification. For me, this is the top underestimated topic cluster in applied AI, bringing together the deeply interesting science of XAI with the big-picture societal, ethical, and regulatory questions.
