This post is for all those people who believe they are top "Data Analysts" or "Influencers" in the "Data Analysis" space. We have quite some news for you. So, if you are in the "Data Analysis" space? Please read on Ralph Kimball is best known for dimensional models. However, in 1982 he was the co-founder of Metaphor Computer Systems, one of the most influential companies in BI. Many of the thought leaders of today, like Bill Schmarzo, Margy Ross & John Thompson, got their start at Metaphor The software (Data Interpretation System/DIS) was so successful many of the worlds leading companies used it. The largest being Coca Cola. They were so successful that IBM bought the company & ported the software to OS2 Oh well... Today, that software is called "Meta5". It runs on windows. Jim Kanzler is the CEO over there What we have invented is "Meta5 as a Black Box" This means a "Data Analyst" can write complex, custom SQL, that is read & parameterized at run time. It is sent to the ODBC Data Source to run & return results. The results can then be sent into pretty much anything for presentation. We are demoing Excel because...Excel The "news" is this. That data source can be any ODBC compliant data source, including cloud systems, large operational systems, DWHs & CData This means that top class "Data Analysts" can write their own "Meta5 program" aka "capsule". Then sell that capsule in the marketplace. (Meta5 has a single user desktop offering) Now, any top class "Data Analyst", who knows one or more large operational systems, has the opportunity to write capsules against those operational systems to deliver valuable dashboards to business users This "data analysis against operational systems" market is 10X the size of the DWH market. This does not reduce the need for a data warehouse. This helps open up the market for BI against operational systems. This is an "entry level BI/Reporting" for companies not ready to invest in a DWH We have created a detailed technical demonstration that shows exactly how this is done So? In 2023, Datahash invented yet another category in #Martech - 'Smart, Unbundled #CustomerDataPlatform / #CDP'! 2.5 years ago, we started building our first product, it did only one thing - Facebook Conversion API (before rebrandig to Meta) and we created first ever 'CAPI as a Service' and saved 2 to 6 weeks of work for client's IT teams to setup FB CAPI in <15 minutes! In 2022, we graduated to have several integrations as sources and destinations but didn't really fit in the #systemintegrators (SI) category since the SIs typically do not know how to deal with first party data, or encryption or streaming data sources like web and apps or all of the above! So we had to come up with a new category '#firstpartydata platform' to explain our product. There are at least 30 companies now that we know of, that have launched similar products this year. It's so great to have confirmation that we were on the right track, and were an early mover! There was only one product category that could do what we were doing - the CDPs. Since 90% of the marketers have been using CDPs primarily for integrations, that our firstpartydata platform was already offering, our customers would often compare us against this much hyped and super expensive martech category, as well as fresh-in-town 'Reverse ETL' tools. We could clearly see significant concerns with both of them though. Most CDPs and Reverse ETL tools are prohibitively expensive for a vast majority of marketers. They require significant amount of tech resources and timelines to implement. Moreover, to make any use of customer #segmentation, they expect marketers to have strong data science capabilities and/or provide ONLY basic, rule based segments. In 2023, we decided to solve for all of these problems and have now innovated a 'Smart, Unbundled CDP' Datahash Studio. We've built the different capabilties promised by a CDP, namely - Integration (Datahash Signals), Identity Resolution / Customer 360 (Datahash SingleView) and Segmentation (Datahash Segments) in an unbundled, no code, affordable way. Our product experience is extremely intuitive for marketers to use directly, takes only a few minutes to implement without coding usually, and has #intelligence baked in through advanced ML models specific to industry verticals. Datahash Studio, a combination of our three products - Signals + SingleView + Segments is in closed beta, with a handful of our trusted advertisers, but should become available for wider world soon.
