#Russia Today and Sputnik are Russian publications, and along with the social media, Telegram channels' “Legitimny,” “Rezident,” and “Temniy Rytsar,” promote non-stop misinformation supporting #Kremlin views. These 'media outlets' fictionalize content and undermine their intended targets - the main target being #Ukraine, and other European neighbor nations. Serving as a consultant to the 2021 The Critical Mass - Sustainable Security & Defense study of the effects of Russian propaganda used to undermine the #publichealth responses to COVID-19 in the Ukraine, #Kazakhstan, and #Georgia, I warned, “Russia’s investment in #cyberwarfare is very significant, but it’s an asset that’s invisible. It’s deadly, and it’s directed through campaigns at countries." (see https://lnkd.in/gBV5MCqw). In #Italy, during March 2020 to May 2020 height of #COVID, 100 Russian soldiers were sent with medical equipment in a campaign mission called "From Russia with Love" that was viewed as ineffective and was cut short. Russian intrusions are harbored within the government of #Hungary, an E.U. and #NATO. member, where Prime Minister Viktor #Orban (https://lnkd.in/efCAyHEd ) allows both state media and Hungary's foreign services to follow the Russian line that it is N.A.T.O. that is the warmonger in the Ukraine war. After unleashing a sustained propaganda war during the pandemic until today and a three-year hot war, and new threats against Georgia and #Estonia #borders, where are the 'red lines' in standing up to Russian military aggression and its sophisticated misinformation campaigns? You can leave your own comments on the effects of Russian activities.
