Introducing the #S3EStart Research Projects 🌟 Blood2Power 🦾 The solution: A pioneering power-generating system that harnesses electrical energy from the movement of body fluids, like blood, to power medical devices. The intelligent vascular graft (iGraft), will autonomously sense and monitor its performance, transmitting data and alerts to healthcare systems through telemetric capabilities, thereby preventing device failure. 🧑🔬 The research team: Inês Gonçalves, Andreia Trindade Pereira, Daniela Sousa, Herbert Middleton and Salomé Luís. 🔬 The institution involved: i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde.
