🌿 Enhancing Nature-Based Solutions Uptake Through Standardisation: NetworkNature EU and HSbooster.eu join Forces 🌱🌊 Today was a significant step forward as #NetworkNature and #HSbooster delved into the potential of #standardisation to amplify the impact of EU-funded #naturebasedsolutions projects. Our collaboration spans across six Task Forces (Nature-based Solutions TFs), which are pivotal in elevating knowledge and practices across more than 70 interconnected projects. 🎯 1. Ensuring Consistency and Excellence: Adopting standardised measures ensures that initiatives, from rejuvenating urban green spaces to restoring coastal habitats, adhere to high-quality standards essential for sustainable success. ✔ 2. Preventing Greenwashing: It is crucial to distinguish genuine environmental efforts from mere superficial claims. Standards provide a framework that helps validate the authenticity of eco-friendly projects, enhancing their credibility and garnering legitimate support. 🗝 3. Expanding Knowledge and Awareness: Through efforts from task forces focused on everything from data dissemination to education about nature-based solutions, we are creating vital resources such as handbooks and policy guidelines that reach beyond individual projects. 🗣 4. Boosting Cross-Sector Collaboration: Standardisation offers a common framework that facilitates collaboration across various fields and disciplines. Today’s dialogue with participants from ‘TF 1—Data & Knowledge Sharing’ and ‘TF 2—Integrated Assessment Framework’ highlighted the essential challenges and priorities in managing data and assessments to scale up the effectiveness of NbS. 📃 5. Today, #NetworkNature and HSbooster.eu did a deep-dive into the potential of standardisation to scaling knowledge and solutions across EU-funded #naturebasedsolutions projects jointly working in NetworkNature! 🌱🌊 🔨The entry points are the six Nature-based Solutions Task Forces (NbS TFs), which are our instrument for cross-project collaboration and scaling of knowledge across more than 70 projects. The six Nature-based Solutions Task Forces span from data and integrated assessment to education on NbS. Producing resources such as handbooks, policy recommendations, and methodologies that go beyond individual projects, bringing together experts across Europe and beyond. ♥️ Today, 16 participants joined the webinar from ‘TF 1—Data & Knowledge Sharing’ and ‘TF 2—Integrated Assessment Framework’.
