Building Something New | EIR @ Felicis | ex-Snowflake (Data Sharing & Marketplace), ex-Stride (acq. by Snowflake), ex-RelateIQ (acq. by Salesforce)

As part of my journey of exploring and validating ideas, my mental state constantly swings between being excited and depressed. It was super reinvigorating to hear from Jake Storm, Vinay Wagh, Alex Bovee and Max Mullen about their journeys and perspectives on building companies and investing. There's no right way to start a company, and I constantly question myself if I'm doing it the right way. It felt comforting to know they went through similar stages and sending cold reach outs for customer discovery is still the way to go (it helps if you have a boat 😉 ). Kudos to Jake Storm Nancy Wang Mischa Vaughn from Felicis for organizing a great event! On one hand, for someone who came to the States alone 16 years ago with broken English, I secretly pat myself on the back for making it this far. On the other hand, there's more I dream to achieve, and that's why I came to Silicon Valley. As I turn 34, I'm reminding myself to keep showing up, keep grinding, and always remember: days are long, decades are short, and luck is engineered.

Proud of you Danny. Keep pushing toward a bigger purpose, and on the long days, remember that even people outside of your orbit are rooting for you.
