DAkkS’s contribution to trustworthy chains of evidence at international level – DAkkS was the first accreditation body worldwide to develop and introduce a digital accreditation symbol as electronic seal. The digital accreditation symbol is machine-readable and tamper-proof. To meet the need for digitised applications and processes being key for the forth industrial revolution, DAkkS introduced the digital accreditation symbol in April 2024. This was preceded by a DAkkS pilot project launched in spring 2023 to test the introduction of a digital accreditation symbol. Interoperability tests with other accreditation bodies around the world have demonstrated that in technical terms, the digital accreditation symbol can be read correctly with usual software applications and can be accepted as digital proof of accreditation. ➡️ Read more in the newsfeed of International Accreditation Forum Inc: https://lnkd.in/enn7R-D3

Significant step towards a metrology #blockchain! Happy to see that Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) goes really, really #digital now! You are still sending around excel tables with your trustworthy #calibration data? And they you wonder why your product keeps on failing you #eol test? Well, would you send around excel tables for your private banking data or your health data? Maybe not... This seems like a small step deep down in the guts of a #qidigital infrastructure - but you cannot underestimate the effect of automatically assigning validated calibration data instead of manual excel readout for a production machine that has 100 sensors for quality control! Anyone out there who gets the point? Would love to hear from you... AUDITTRAILS Networks GmbH Alexander Frenzl Sascha Eichstädt #metrologymatters #madeingermany #doomexcel

(4/6) Are you interested in discussing ethical issues and values in the context of RE and system development? Then consider to contribute to the "Virtues and Values in Requirements Engineering 2024 Workshop (VIVA RE’24)" collocated with REFSQ International Working Conference on Requirements Engineering. Including human values into the development of software-intensive systems has long been a topic of discussion. A satisfactory solution such as a collection of (software-supported) methods or a model gallery for ethical argumentation has not yet been developed. This workshop will work on collecting methods for incorporating values into system development. Two particular methods, the Square of Values (SoV) and the Software Sustainability Assessment (SoSA) approaches, will be examined in more detail. A specific focus of the workshop lies on how ethical reasoning can be supported with the help of software-tools. The organizers Alexander Rachmann and Jens Gulden are looking forward to your submissions until 📆 February 9th! Check the website for more details on objectives, topics and submission instructions 👉 https://lnkd.in/e8gRYMJp

Do you know EDPB website auditing tool? 💠 The EDPB website auditing tool helps analyse whether websites are compliant with the law. 💠 The new tool allows the preparation, completion and evaluation of audits directly in the tool by a simple visit to the website concerned. 💠 While several website auditing tools already exist, these usually require technical expertise. The EDPB website auditing tool by contrast is easy to use in order to facilitate enforcement by national DPAs and compliance checks by controllers. 💠 The EDPB website auditing tool is a Free and Open Source Software under the EUPL 1.2 Licence and is available for download on code.europa.eu

Consider submitting a paper for the USE OF LLMS FOR PROGRAM ANALYSIS AND GENERATION minitrack for HICSS (Jan 2025). Complete call below. Feel free to send any questions to me. (PS: I’m also soliciting reviewers. Send email directly to me.) Thanks. -Mark https://lnkd.in/eMRxqrJG USE OF LLMS FOR PROGRAM ANALYSIS AND GENERATION MINITRACK There has been an explosion of work using Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist with the development and evaluation of programs. There is a wide diversity of opinion ranging from one extreme claiming that LLMs will replace programmers to suggesting that the use of LLMs will fast track poor and vulnerable code into enterprise systems to the expected use of LLMs to generate malicious code. This minitrack solicits empirical results and evaluations of LLMs used to create software or to evaluate software. Topics include but are not limited to: -Methods for using LLMs to generate or evaluate software -Comparisons of LLMs vs other source code analysis tools -Evaluation of the suitability of domains and/or languages for using LLMs -Comparisons of LLMs for effectiveness in creating or evaluating software -Methods of training LLMs to improve performance in creating or evaluating software -Effects of prompt-engineering on the effectiveness of LLMs in creating or evaluating software -Detection of LLM-generated source code in programs -Integration of LLMs with other software engineering and development tools and environments -Teaching the use of LLMs as part of the software development process -Guardrails for LLMs generating software to prevent poor or malicious software -Use of LLMs for SCA (Software Composition Analysis) and supply chain risk management -Presence of LLM generated software in the open source community -Use of LLMs to reverse engineer binary software to source code -Using LLMs to create invariants for use in proof systems -Using LLMs as proof assistants for programs -Veracity of explanations from LLM summarization of software -How to find evidence of poisoned LLMs used to generate vulnerable software
