Stomach, anal and laryngeal cancer are types of #RareCancers. Rare cancers are not as common meaning fewer people have them, less is known about them. However, what makes cancer rare? 🤔 ✔️A cancer might be rare because it started in a different type of cell than usual ✔️Because it is a subtype of more common cancer ✔️ Because it is in an unusual part of the body for that type of cancer ✔️ It’s rare if it affects a child or a teenager. Cancer only affects a very small number of children and teenagers Rare cancers affect less than 6 per 100,000 people by year and we believe that it’s important to share knowledge about them. #DaiichiSankyoEurope
