I’ve been running 3MT since 2018 for the University of Dundee. It’s a really tough competition. It sounds easy but feels and *is* really challenging. It’s not about fitting as much content as you can into 3 minutes. It’s actually about slowing down. It’s one of the best development opportunities for post-doctoral researchers to learn how to talk clearly and understandably about their PhD, their purpose and ‘why’ they are doing it. I love seeing how their confidence and approach develops and evolves. When I speak to them about the ‘why’ it’s often a challenge to get people to move beyond the reasoning given by their supervisor or the specific detail of their project but I ask why are they doing their PhD? Why did you decided to do one and why that topic or area? You can always tell when they are talking about the parts of their work that they feel most passionate about as their faces light up. That’s what the judges want to see. They want passionate presenters that present in a way they are comfortable with along with a talk that’s understandable and well structured. Easy, right? Good luck everyone! We are all cheering you on.
Come support PhD students at the University of Dundee who have taken on the challenge of condensing their research into only 3 minutes. Join us in-person or virtually at the Three Minute Thesis Dundee Finals this Wednesday at 12:30pm.

Sir I wish to say following about the better out come of Conferences . If some body want to present his research paper in the conference than those all doccument should be shared on line to the researchers who want to attend that particular conference. The Sharing of those doccument before conference will help the researchers to review the paper of their intrest in a better way and if they have some doubt over the paper contents they can clear their doubts at the time of paper being presented in the conference. This way of discussion will help the researchers to understand the paper contents Ina better way and the collected informations during this type of discussion will help the researchers to understand and implement the research ideas in a better way in their contents of research

*****Listed among the top 2% of scientists in the world in 2023***** Dr. Chanthika PORNPITAKPAN, currently serving as Associate Professor at the Department of Management and Marketing and Non-resident Fellow of the Choi Kai Yau Residential College (CKYC), University of Macau, has been included among the top 2% of scientists in the entire world in 2023 according to the citation analysis report by Stanford University and Elsevier, which is one of the world’s most influential publishers (https://lnkd.in/gMevg4HZ). The report lists the top 100,000 scientists in 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields based on the composite score known as the c-score (with and without self-citations), which considers various factors such as the number of citations, the h-index (author-level indicator that measures both the productivity and citation impact of the publications), co-authorship, and author position (single author, first author, and last author), or scientists who rank in the top 2% in their disciplines. Notably, the c-score emphasizes the impact of a publication (measured by the number of times it has been cited) rather than the sheer productivity (number of publications) of a particular researcher. The first part of my PhD dissertation is out and about as a standalone article :) Once again, thanks to the KEMO and Central European University open access support funding, it’s easily available online. Many thanks to Jasmin Dall Agnola and the Swiss Political Science Review (SPSR) team for making the special issue on Authoritarianism 3.0 possible. The title speaks for itself. You can access the article here: https://lnkd.in/dGkB9Ue7
