At Marriott International, learning is all about expanding your horizons through different perspectives. That's why Humberto, an exceptionally passionate culinary trainee in his second year at our hotel, was selected for the Marriott Trainee Exchange DACH 2024. This program is offered to trainees and dual students at all Marriott properties in Germany, Austria & Switzerland, recognizing special dedication and #motivation. 🚀 During his two weeks at the JW Marriott Hotel Frankfurt, Humberto had a holistically valuable time: Not only did he gain new technical skills and many practical insights by working with the local team, but he also experienced another Marriott brand and city with his exchange trainee partner. 🏙 We are so happy that Humberto had this well-deserved #opportunity - and of course that he is back with us. Thank you for the #passion you bring to everything you do every day! #marriottinternational #trainee #opportunities #munich #frankfurt

CEO - Efcee Hotels | Seasoned Hotelier & Businessman | Building Brands & Networks | Director, SO Solutions NZL Pvt Ltd | Global Hospitality Leader
Despite not attending college Eric Danziger went from carrying bags for guests to becoming CEO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's biggest hotel chain! It's stories like these that make many question: Which matters more in the hospitality industry, education or experience? The truth is, both play crucial roles at different career stages. Let me break it down: 1) Early Career: Education is the golden ticket - A diploma from a top hotel school can be your foot in the door for prestigious programs like Hilton's Elevator Program for future GMs. - But classroom learning alone isn't enough - internships to apply that knowledge are equally vital. The network effect: - Beyond academics, hospitality schools provide an invaluable global alumni network. Top hotel school grads can be found across the world's hospitality hubs. - Your initial degree may just be the beginning - continuing education to upskill will likely be essential as the industry evolves. 2) Mid Career: Experience reigns supreme - As you climb the corporate ladder, experience trumps education. For a regional VP role, your recent track record matters more than your degree. - At the top, it's about quantifiable accomplishments and developing a reputation through relentless networking. So while education lays the foundation, experience becomes the real difference-maker. But both components are integral parts of a hotelier's journey from dish room to boardroom! What's been more important in your career - education or experience? Share your insights below! #hospitality #Efceehotels #education #experience

Ceasefire’s LPCB certified Wet Chemical based system combines ground-breaking technology with functional simplicity. The system’s most prominent feature - a specially designed heat-sensitive pneumatic polymer tube that runs unobtrusively throughout the area at risk. When a fire breaks out, the heat-sensitive tube detects the rise in temperature and punctures at that point. This triggers the system which releases the Wet Chemical extinguishing agent through a separate discharge line and expels it through specialized nozzles. Dousing the flames by smothering them with the spray of specialized foam. And bringing down the temperature to below combustion levels. The USP of the system is that it's swift and powerful. The Wet chemical foam kills any type of fire in split seconds without giving fire any change of re-ignition. The system provides effective protection for kitchens with all types of cooking applications, as a cost effective solution. for more details visit us www.ceasefire.in

Marriott Hotels, is one of the three reasons why I studied hospitality at Swiss Hotel Management School. Thank you YTL Hotels for inviting me and The BrandLaureate Awards to your CNY Open House at JW Marriott KL. Bringing back some jiggly memories from my teenage years. I remembered when I was 14/15 years old, I stayed at a Marriot Hotel, I came across a book about the heart of service or heart of the house (don't quite remember but I remembered asking my mom earnestly if I could take it home 😅). I remembered reading the stories and was inspired by it. Professionalism, going the extra mile to make someone's stay/experience memorable; some of the stories gave me good goosebumps and placed a smile on my then, 14/15 years old face. Fast forward to now, even though I'm not in the Hotel industry, but the hospitality blood runs in me, in all that I pursue. (Thank you to all my past internships 😅 where I worked really really hard despite the intern pay check back then!) I guess these are some of the qualities that I inculcate from the years of studies in Swiss, internships and management training. Professionalism. Going the extra mile. Not the short cuts. Always Think of the flow, the mise en place (préparation). Think outside the box. Add value. No matter how tired or tough or long the day is, there's always fulfillment if I search within. I guess it speaks the same for a brand, a great brand stands out with the quality it exudes.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿? Today we introduce you to Jorge Daniel Teixeira Magalhaes. 👋🏼 Jorge has been part of the HotelPartner family since 2013. He started out as a trainee with an apprenticeship, then completed his higher technical college and is now Senior Technology Officer. As such, he is responsible for the support and further development of the intranet and the WBE. #ask𝓙𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮 What is your favourite emoji and why? 🙈 - „That's what I use the most. I like it because it can put a smile on someone's face." Something nobody knows about him? "When I was a small child, my father emigrated to Switzerland. When I went on holiday to Switzerland for the first time at the age of 10, I was so fascinated that I absolutely wanted to live here. A year later, there were three of us here." 🇨🇭 Is your desk tidy or rather chaotic? "Rather chaotic." When I'm in a slump at work, it always helps me to "leave my desk for a moment and go outside to reorganise my thoughts." 💬 What can't be missing at work? 🤗 a good team 💻 good equipment (especially in IT) 💭 as few distractions as possible My colleagues are the best because "We always help each other and even put our own priorities aside when a colleague needs help." 😊 #revenuemanagement #yieldmanagement #hospitality #hospitalityindustry #hotelindustry #team
