Learning is a lifelong adventure! What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone starting their learning journey on Coursera? 🤔
Dear Coursera please advise on the below issue which is faced by users constantly. Multiple complaints are raised in forums tab but there is not response!
Start small, gradually increase your time for learning. Focus on the variety of subjects which keep you excited 😊
Embrace the journey with an open mind and a commitment to apply what you learn. Whether you're diving into data analytics or exploring new management techniques, the key is to integrate your knowledge into real-world scenarios. Start with projects or problems you're passionate about; this not only enhances your learning experience but also ensures the skills you develop are immediately applicable and deeply ingrained. Coursera offers a unique platform to learn, experiment, and grow. Make the most of it by connecting theories to practice.
Focus. As you get older and have alot of responsibilities, especially children, you need to really focus. Schedule a day to study. Remind yourself that sacrifices will need to be made but the goal, or at least it was for me, is to get to a better position where you can provide for your family. Never give up because you will have days that things are not going to go your way but those are days that life is trying to teach you something. Focus. Ok so that’s more then one thing🤣
Consistency is key! From personal experience, I've found that studying consistently is much more effective than sporadic, intensive sessions. It's better to dedicate an hour each day on your courses. This daily practice helps retain information better and allows you to build on what you've learned. Regular, manageable study sessions create a strong foundation and make learning a sustainable habit. Happy learning!
First of all I want to mention that Coursera is brilliant.🌟I recommend everyone to embrace this opportunity with passion and try to enhance your knowledge as much as possible.✨️
Here is some advice from my perspective as an instructor and course creator: Fully engage in the course. Consider how the content can apply to familiar scenarios from your work or life and how you might approach things differently with your new knowledge. I also suggest you set both short- and long-term goals. Many programs on Coursera build toward valuable professional certificates, and some can even transfer as college credits! Planning ahead for these options can help you use your time wisely.
Learn, do, teach, thrive, lead and mentor others.
You're never too old to learn a new language!
