This is how job ads should be, especially in property management—clear, transparent, and straightforward. Providing all the details upfront helps applicants make better decisions and speeds up the hiring process. I recall encountering a job description that encouraged all applicants to read their employee handbook. I was genuinely impressed. Getting a glimpse into the company's culture before applying made it much more appealing because of their openness. My job search has been challenging, to say the least, but the roles that prioritize honesty and transparency are the ones I find most rewarding to pursue. Remember, transparency is key! It's what makes your company more attractive.

Hiring is hand's down THE most challenging issue I've had to date of owning a company. I thought getting to a $100m in sales in one year would be the Mt. Everest to climb in real estate. I was wrong, it's hiring. Here's why. 3 years ago we tore everything down and rebuilt Vesta Preferred. The internal processes, the training, the team. Brick by brick we have taken deliberate care to not make our past mistakes. Now we have this incredible company culture of drive and success. However these two pieces are not enough alone, we've always had this insatiable appetite for success. Something has given us our current "X" factor. That "X" factor are the agents that make up our team. Every agent here have greatness inside of them. Brad did not give that to them, I did not give that to them. They brought it with them. Every - single - one of them. This time around on building the team, we have become solely focused on finding this seed of greatness in our hires. Some know they have it, some don't know it yet. However this is not something we can coach on, you either have it or you don't. This is also the most challenging trait to search for since there are no metrics we can rely on. It's all based on sense and feel once I meet with the broker. Vesta has become this machine of cultivating greatness. Every single person fit's into the overall process here. It has been the greatest honor of my career to lead this charge along side Brad Robbins With this current team, we have reached a place where our growth is sky rocketing. I'm talking about explosive growth. We sold 50 homes in February. We have 30 contracts in March so far (half way through the month!), this is not normal for the size of team we have. From the outside it looks incredible but from inside of our organization there are no surprises here. Our daily activities are up. The calls are up. The appointments are up. The contracts are up. We saw this coming and we planned for it. Once you figure out your numbers in real estate it's only a matter of time until the compound effect takes place and here we are. Our team knows we have something special. Finding the right individuals is my main pain point. Morning thoughts over here. Vesta will be the first Billion dollar team in Illinois. This is our journey.
