🎬 Helping behavioral health facilities build trust with prospective patients and their families through impactful video storytelling.
🛑 This happens in America EVERY SINGLE DAY 🛑 For those who haven't yet seen Jelly Roll's Senate testimony, about 190 people overdose and die every day in America. That's about what a 737 plane can carry. Can you imagine the national media attention there would be if a 737 crashed every single day?!? The reason it doesn't get that attention is because unfortunately those suffering from addiction get labeled as "drug addicts" in our country, and are forgotten. This leaves us with two fronts to fight on to solve this crisis: 1️⃣ Political Advocacy: We must push for increased funding and awareness to combat this crisis head-on. 2️⃣ Facility Support: We need to create avenues to encourage individuals battling addiction to seek treatment. It's about understanding where each person suffering from addiction is currently and speaking to that place. You must build trust with them, and instill the hope that recovery IS POSSIBLE. If you want to discuss some powerful ways of doing this through video storytelling, then feel free to comment below, DM me, or book a call through my profile. #addiction #addictionrecovery #addictiontreatment #addictionawareness #videoproduction

Question: If the MISSION Act established the Community Care Network (which it did) and Legacy Village is a Community Care Network provider (which it is) then, why would you have Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facilities as Community Care Network providers if it was not covered by the MISSION Act? Answer: The MISSION Act clearly covers addiction treatment, unfortunately VA facilities are electing to forgo the requirements of the MISSION Act to the detriment of our Veterans. Veterans have earned the right to choose their healthcare providers.

International Overdose Day is observed every year on the 31st of August to shed light on a pressing global issue affecting countless lives. This year the day aims to draw attention to the often-invisible victims of drug overdoses. Substance abuse knows no boundaries, impacting people from all walks of life. Each year an alarming number of individuals lose their lives to overdose and such a figure signifies the urgency of understanding and addressing the root causes behind this crisis. Many of those struggling with addiction suffer in silence, battling stigma and isolation. Educating ourselves and others can lead to removing the stigma attached to the issue and offering a helping hand. By recognising the unseen, we pave the way for a more inclusive and empathetic society, fostering a space where everyone's struggles are acknowledged and addressed. #NWGH #IOAD2023 #WeSeeYou

The influence of parents on a child's relationship with drugs and alcohol is powerful. According to the Yale School of Medicine, first-degree relatives of alcoholics (parents, siblings, children!) face an 8 times higher risk of developing alcoholism. For children in homes affected by addiction, the risks are staggering—3 times more likely to endure abuse and 4 times more likely to experience neglect. The impact of drugs, alcohol and addiction at home can reshape a child's entire future. Awareness and prevention services go a long way to ensuring healthier futures for #JacksonCountyKids. Learn more from our partner organization First Call which provides recovery support services for the entire family, both members dealing with alcoholism and children who have been impacted by a family member’s substance use: https://lnkd.in/giAKK2mK #ChildWellBeing #AwarenessMatters #SupportingFamilies
