Prevention Works: Connections and Community
After much anticipation, we are excited to announce that the registration is now OPEN for Prevention Works! VT first Statewide Substance Misuse Prevention Conference.
On Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, join prevention professionals and community partners at
Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee, Vermont, for Prevention Works: Connections and Community. The first of its kind, this inaugural Vermont conference's goals include increasing the capacity of qualified professionals from the community, schools, and higher education to address prevention needs through professional development opportunities.
What makes a great conference? Networking, new skill development, peer-to-peer learning, and engaging workshop leaders! The conference includes all of these and more. While viewing the beautiful Lake Morey shoreline and networking with colleagues and new friends, interactive workshops will be hosted by facilitators from Vermont to Texas to Maine. Focused topic areas include youth engagement, vaping, communications, and marketing, as well as other prevention topics.
The morning will kick off with keynote speaker Pam Garramone with “Feel Happier (even in tough times” and the afternoon keynote speaker Julie Stevens with “Prevention Rocks!”
Discounted ticket pricing is available for “Early Birds” registration for the first 25 people registered. These lucky attendees will receive $10 off of a full-day, in-person ticket!
There is a virtual registration option with access to keynote presentations and a limited selection of workshop options. In-person registration for the full-day conference is limited, and workshop selection is on a first-come-first-registered basis until April 15th or until maximum capacity is reached.
