How real is it? CSU hurricane researcher Alex DesRosiers shares how realistic (or unrealistic) storm scenes are in some of Hollywood's most popular movies. Alex earned his Ph.D. at CSU in 2024 studying tropical cyclone dynamics – specifically the factors that determine how and when a hurricane rapidly intensifies. He's also part of CSU's Tropical Weather and Climate Research Team, which has provided accurate seasonal hurricane forecasts that meteorologists, media, and officials have relied on for over 40 years. Pupdate 🐶 ⬇️ Two years ago, Lily the spaniel was diagnosed with a rare heart muscle disease that caused her heart to beat too slowly and enlarge, leading to concerns about progressive heart failure. With the help of a cardiologist from Italy, the CSU Vet Hospital determined a pacemaker was the best solution for Lily. Although not a cure, the pacemaker aimed to prevent the onset of symptoms. Today, Lily is thriving and maintains her sporting life by trekking up to 12 miles a day 🐾
