There's often a lot of talk about doing business differently -- but Coachtopia (of Coach) continues to demonstrate what that actually looks like in practice. It is perhaps what we are most proud of at JUV Consulting that we've been able to collaborate on bringing Coachtopia to life, a brand that reconsidered everything about supply chain, design, and community to build the first circular economy luxury brand of its kind, in partnership with Gen Zers across the world who ensured Coachtopia would be as successful as it has been. There are a lot of days (especially recently) where I wonder if our work actually matters, if we are making the right choices, if we will actually be able to make the change that our world so desperately demands, but it's leaders like Aditi Mayer, who spoke at #ZCON, who make me believe that better is not only possible, but probable. Aditi walks us through Coachtopia's "Road to Circularity" so beautifully in this docuseries -- and I encourage everyone to watch it. She is a voice we all need to be listening to right now as she continues to show up with moral clarity, compassion, and character amidst so much noise -- and being in community with her makes me feel like we are indeed doing *something* right. And, getting to learn from/partner with groundbreaking leadership like that of Joon Silverstein is as inspiring as it is illuminating. 🌿 Breaking Down Silos in Circular Tech: Introducing the Circular Tech Ecosystem Map! In our journey towards a regenerative future, digital enablers play a pivotal role in forging a circular economy. Yet, the vast landscape of circular tech often remains fragmented, with ground-breaking initiatives in various sectors going unnoticed. We're excited to unveil the Circular Tech Ecosystem Map - a tool designed to bridge these gaps and spotlight the innovative software at the forefront of circularity. This first version of the map is not just about technology; we hope it can become a tool that can connect dots, break down silos, and foster collaboration across different sectors. 🔍 What defines circular tech? Circular tech (in this context) encompasses digital tools and platforms that are central to enabling circular practices. These range from marketplaces that encourage sustainable consumer behaviours to SaaS solutions aiding organisations in circular product innovation. Our focus is on software-driven solutions that empower circularity in various forms, excluding material technologies and hardware-centric approaches. 🔄 Exploring the "R strategies" and beyond Our map leverages the "R strategies" from Refuse to Recycle as a lens to understand how digital tools contribute to circular economy practices. However, we recognise that categorisation can be multifaceted, encompassing different business models, sectors, and technologies. This prototype is just the beginning, and we aim to incorporate diverse categorisations in future iterations of the map. 🤝 We need your insight! This initial version of the Circular Tech Ecosystem Map is a starting point, and your feedback is crucial for its evolution. Just recently, our employees at HQ went on a journey into the future by participating in an exciting escape game. Over a series of tasks centered around #circularity, we learned how to escape from the linear business model, embrace innovation, reduce waste and support consumers in making more sustainable choices. 💪🏽 Our three takeaways were to: • Rethink the materials we use • Extend the lifetime of our products • Recover components and materials The escape game showed us that circularity is a major opportunity for innovating our business towards a more sustainable future.
