CMBlu Energy’s U.S. President, Giovanni Damato, had the opportunity to speak with pv magazine USA’s Michael Puttré regarding recent developments, as well as our innovative technology’s unique positioning within the energy storage space, including: 🔋 Mercedes-Benz’s first order of our Organic SolidFlow batteries in Germany 🔋 How our technology is free from supply chain constrained critical minerals, like lithium 🔋 Our forward-thinking approach in the flow battery space to allow for cost-effective scaling and energy storage “That’s where we differentiate ourselves from most flow batteries, where in the tanks are typically just liquid electrolyte and can be quite large for long-duration storage. Whereas we have stationary solids in the tank as well, which improves our energy density. We can have smaller tanks that have a smaller installed footprint,” said President, Giovanni Damato. 👉 Read the full post here: https://lnkd.in/eZMCwgcX #EnergyStorage #CleanEnergy #RenewableEnergy #CMBluEnergy

Last week I wrote a few comments on the Australian Photovoltaic Institute (APVI)'s solar manufacturing roadmap. The roadmap excludes perovskites from its consideration and opposes anti-Chinese trade barriers - (because China, Australia's largest trade partner, could so easily retaliate). Instead, it argues for production incentives incentives for each step of the polysilicon-wafer-cell-module supply chain, similar in intensity to the Inflation Reduction Act, except for a much steeper polysilicon subsidy of $6.5 per kilogram (which is almost on par with China's marginal cost of production.)

Although there's still a long way to go and challenging hurdles to overcome, it's great to see electrification of thermal processes in hard-to-abate sectors and use of green tariffs by companies in regulated or retail markets where mechanisms like vPPAs aren't available. https://lnkd.in/gh5HefGy
