🌟 Making a Difference: Support the Fight Against Blood Cancers! 🌟 Dear LinkedIn Community, I hope this post finds you well. Today, I want to shed light on a cause that holds a special place in my heart – the fight against blood cancers. As we navigate the complexities of life, it's essential to remember the power of collective action and the impact each one of us can make. Let's talk about the incredible work being done by the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and why your support can be a beacon of hope for many. 🩸 The Silent Battle: Blood Cancers Leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma are silent battles fought by many, affecting individuals of all ages, races, and backgrounds. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is at the forefront, tirelessly working to fund research, provide patient support, and advocate for policies that ensure access to lifesaving treatments. 🤝 Why Donate? Your donations play a pivotal role in driving progress. Every dollar contributes to groundbreaking research, supports patients and their families, and aids in raising awareness about these diseases. It's not just about monetary support; it's about showing solidarity and telling those affected that they are not alone in their journey. 🌐 Building a Community of Support Together, we can create a ripple effect of positivity and change. By supporting LLS, you become a part of a community dedicated to making a difference. Your generosity fuels the hope that drives researchers, comforts families, and inspires individuals to keep fighting. 💙 How to Get Involved Whether it's a small contribution or sharing information about LLS within your network, every action counts. Attend events, volunteer your time, or simply spread awareness on social media. Let's harness the power of our collective network to amplify the impact. 🙏 Gratitude in Advance I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported or plans to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Your kindness is a beacon of light in the lives of those facing blood cancers. 🌈 Let's Make a Difference Together! Join me in supporting LLS – a beacon of hope for those facing blood cancers. Together, we can make strides towards a future where these diseases are a thing of the past. Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer | Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer | Birmingham based supporting those who are diagnosed with breast cancer with their mental well- being with non medical support here in the Midlands.
We are truly overwhelmed with the support and very kind donation by Solihull Round Table, donating £5000 towards our Hug in a Bag initiative. The Hug-in-a-Bag initiative was introduced by Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer (LFBC) as a way of providing “common sense” items – such as a water bottle, moisturiser and a book – for patients attending their first chemotherapy treatment session given out to them by nurses. The bags also contain thoughtful items including a blanket and nail varnish, as body temperature and nail discolouration are just two of the changes that can occur due to cancer treatment. A Local charity, helping local people. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. It's an awareness month we all wish we didn't need to have. But cancer is still the number one disease-related cause of death for children – it's a cause we need to raise up and support urgently. Luckily for all of us, St. Jude is leading the charge in treatment and prevention. Unlike other facilities, St. Jude is changing how the world treats and CURES children with cancer. To raise funds to continue delivering this critical work, St. Jude is hosting a Charitybuzz auction this month full of unique items and experiences (private guided Tesla factory tour, moped signed by the 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers...). I probably don't have to remind you all here how passionate I am about St. Jude. Not only is their mission so important, but how they approach their work is impressive for any organization (not just a charity). Check out Charitybuzz.com/StJude for information about the cause and current auction items. Or, of course, never hesitate to donate directly at StJude.org. We all need to do our part for patients and their families. #StJude #charity #fundraising #charityauction

We have been gripped by the first five days of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship and can't wait to see who will take home the Ballon d'Art with some strong contenders at this early stage 🏆 As part of its 'Big 180' campaign, Paddy Power will be donating £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every 180 scored during the championship. Currently, Kevin Doets is topping the leaderboard having scored 14 180s so far 🎯 and last year, a record 901 180’s were scored, so with 217 180s scored already equating to a £217,000 donation, things are looking on track for a fantastic amount of money to be raised in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. The Big 180 campaign forms part of Paddy Power's contribution to Flutter's Do More pillar of its global sustainability strategy, the Positive Impact Plan. Our worldwide portfolio of brands work towards the goal of Do More to improve 10 million lives by 2030. Work such as this is crucial in helping us achieve this ambitious mission ✔️ Keep track on the total money raised so far here: https://lnkd.in/eGtYKQY5 #WorldDartsChampionship #DoMore #PositiveImpactPlan
