🚨 Live from London Tech Week 🚨 Kate, our Lead PM for Machine Learning & Chat represented Cleo on stage today 👏 Kate spoke on a panel titled “Money Talks, AI speaks louder” Some thoughts from Kate: “AI is not a magic bullet - you need the data bricks to build the AI house. The data that supports these models and building up those databases over time — this is the solid foundation that you need in order to deploy AI models.” On Cleo users feeling comfortable using AI: “Some people actually prefer to speak to AI because it’s a safe, judgement free zone when compared to family or friends.”

On the topic of AI: Fellow MOPs friends, what is your take on the issue of balancing dead tech in your tech stack? One thing that struck me as I'm seeing workflows for new AI tools is the amount of new systems and tools that are entering a tech stack to implement things. Coming up, it will be crucial to audit what systems you currently have, what they do, how often they're used, and how similar they are to any proposed new systems coming in.

Lately, we're seeing lots of different kinds of AI pop up! 😄 Every time I think we've got the coolest new thing, another one shows up and makes it even better. In a video, Google showed off something called Gemini—it's their super-smart multi-modal AI that can understand text, images, audio, video, and code all at once. The video shares some of the coolest things Gemini can do! 🌟 #artificialintelligence #whatnext https://lnkd.in/ghUSzZ4c

Today is an important milestone. Years of work by Google DeepMind, today AI goes multimodal with #Gemini ✨ This means it can generalize and seamlessly understand, operate, and combine different types of information including text, code, audio, image and video - with impressive performance across many leading benchmarks (details in the blog and technical paper). It's more than a new foundation model launch, but about significantly enhancing the way developers and enterprise customers build and scale with AI. https://lnkd.in/gTiXYNGh I was talking about this article with our head of data science and a lot of companies looking at new technologies are falling into AI is all or nothing. We’ve been using AI and ML in multiple capacities in our software behind the scenes for a long time. We’ve learned much of the true value comes from repeated incremental gains as the AI learns and you expand those learning across the business to improve process incrementally. Making sure you’re using AI at the right level of the business will help you see the biggest gains. What issues have you run into working with AI?

Cognition Labs, the creators of Devin, worlds first AI Engineer raised $21M at a $350M valuation a few weeks ago. Now? They're looking to raise at a 8x valuation, $2 Billion, literally a few weeks later… with zero revenue. The AI frenzy is real. The crazy part? There's an open source alternative that does just as well! SWE-agent is an open-source system utilising an innovative agent-computer interface to make it easy for GPT-4 to edit and run code. Super excited to announce the next big (I dare to say most significant) milestone in Google's journey to build AI responsibly: The launch of the #Gemini era and the announcement of our largest and most capable AI model ever, exceeding current state-of-the-art results on 30 of the 32 widely-used academic benchmarks. And thanks to Gemini Pro, starting today, #Bard gets its biggest upgrade yet for more advanced reasoning, planning, understanding and more! If you’re using Bard in English, let us know what you think!
