💬 "Air quality monitoring is often highly technical, poorly communicated and limited to academic or specialist audiences. But wearables can bring the problem of air pollution to life by telling human-led stories of personal exposure" Wearable sensors equip grassroots organisations with data on their local air pollution to campaign on their own terms. From supporting community-driven initiatives to advancing air quality monitoring and evidence-informed advocacy, Olivia Sweeney, Senior Specialist - Data at Clean Air Fund, highlights learning for philanthropic funders 👉 https://bit.ly/3wzxuP2 UrbanBetter HabitatMap GAIA (Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives) #AirQuality #AirPollution

Really!! Is the wearable sensor going to perform self monitoring or relay on the data measured by remote area sensors. So much the information is valuable, data being unverified, lacking needed quality assurance without regulatory oversight could generate misleading information. Air quality alert on wearables seems like a great idea but are these devices going to generate accurate data. Health is at risk and unverified, unreliable information could open room for litigation. Can the particulate matters and gases be measurable by wearables without undergoing any calibration, bump checks etc. Measurement that impacts public health is critical information that can’t be taken lightly!
