📈 With 8,711 small businesses per 100,000 people, our state is a hotbed of entrepreneurial activity! But let's talk about the bigger picture. While more Black women are stepping into entrepreneurship, they face unique challenges, especially when it comes to access to capital. The 2023 State of Black Business report revealed that only 3% of companies owned by Black women make it past the five-year mark. One thing is clear… Black women are the fastest-growing demographic when it comes to starting new businesses. All they need is access to the right resources, opportunities, mentorship and capital. 👩🏽💻 This is everything we are doing at MMA.  But we aren’t nearly done! How do you define prosperity? You may be tempted to scoff at the mere thought of defining it since the meaning may have changed significantly for you in the face of the confusing economic and social times we're living through.
