One of the most common questions I get asked in career discussions is, "Should I get my MBA?" Coming out of my 20th reunion at Harvard Business School, my answer is a resounding "yes" but not for the reasons we typically discuss in professional development discussions. Here's why - - Career Goals: Transitioning from a software engineer to a business leader was made possible by my MBA and was my biggest factor in applying. Anyone considering a career, industry, role switch will get doors opened to leadership roles and new opportunities. - Skill Development: Along with the career goals, the MBA program provided me with invaluable new skills and knowledge, essential for my career growth. I had taken zero business courses before business school so the amount of learning was invaluable. - Network: This was what I underestimated when applying. The connections I made at business school have become my lifelong support system, advisors, and a second family. This community is priceless! #EforLife Coming back from reunion, my heart is full. Getting to have these people in my life has made it richer than I could have possibly imagined. If you have the opportunity to pursue an MBA, seize it!
Christina Augustine I love this. I would say the same thing. Ironically, I have a masters in a field that is not necessarily related to my day to day career, but the life skills I gained throughout the time has helped me immensely get to where I am today. Thank you for sharing and sounds like it was pretty incredible!
Looking forward to hear how the Case Study went
Your last picture in the carrousel is amazing! Beautiful write-up :)
Perfectly summarized. Congrats on your 20th!
100%. Just so grateful to have had this experience.
I refused PhD.... Already got my MBA in my 28 years old which was 17/18 years ago.. and already got my financial freedom since 30 years old until 40 years old. Decreased in my 41/42 years old. From it I learned to maintain your financial freedom I cannot just made it from one source - because when I'm bored, building a transition or bridging from one to another needs some times and choosing which ones will be or could be the sources for it. Right now, I know that at least I have to build 8 sources with long term businesses contracts and another ones are with the proper systems. With proper systems whether there's an AI or not, still works. With long term businesses contracts - whether there's an economic turbulence still works. I'm searching for something all of them could run without me 100% in charge, but will work with or without me. To reach or get it, I have to have the greatest strong companies and men who will have my backs as partners. Not a new company without proper records. As my previous partnership was built in 1901. Proven track record.
Section E for life!!!!
