It's no coincidence that the meeting rooms in the SAP main office in Stockholm are named after famous inventions from Sweden and the surrounding regions. #Innovation has always been the name of the game here but that’s never been more apparent than today. Spending time with our SAP Nordic & Baltic market unit this week, I loved experiencing their enthusiasm around #technology and their poise to drive disruption 💯. Of course, many of our discussions revolved around Generative AI and how our customers can benefit from it. For example, enhancing experiences through completely new levels of automation and augmenting data-driven decision-making, all thanks to SAP Business Technology Platform. In an interesting move SAP nominates Pekka Ala-Pietilä instead of Dr. h.c. Punit Renjen as the next chair of its supervisory board. Why is this interesting? ✔ Ala-Pietilä is a product person. SAP is a product company ✔ Renjen was the head of Deloitte, a global SI. While GSI's are important for SAP, I doubt that an affiliation as close as this to only one of them (and then to one that doesn't necessarily have the best SAP track record) is a very good idea. ✔ Ala-Pietilä knows SAP well, as he has been a member of the supervisory board before. ✔ Ala-Pietilä has high credibility in the area of governing #AI.
