International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th March every year. This year’s theme "Inspire Inclusion," encapsulates the core message of celebrating diversity and advancing the empowerment of all women. As we lead towards this day, we’d like to celebrate our women in the business. We will spotlight ten women for the next few days leading up to International Women’s day. We value the contributions women make in our business. Today we feature Clara Chikusilo, Human Resources Business Partner based in Limbe. Clara shares her thoughts on #InspireInclusion: “It is important that we create more inclusive environments and opportunities for women as such initiatives not only increase the skilled workforce but also foster greater motivation and productivity. Enabling women to reach their full potential is not just about fairness; it's about unlocking untapped talent and driving organizational success. Strengthened businesses and families lifted out of poverty pave the way for better generations, highlighting the transformative power of economically empowered women. Women in leadership should actively support and promote their fellow women. I like this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt that says “A woman is like a tea bag, you cannot tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water”. Today we celebrate #InternationalWomensDay. The theme this year is “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.” What does invest in women mean? It’s not simply hiring or promoting. It’s giving women a platform to challenge the status quo, bring innovative ideas to the table and create a path for other women. It’s providing a workplace culture where a woman can be both an executive and a caregiver. It’s embracing diversity of thought and experiences. Today women make up a quarter of our workforce at Extreme – an increase of over 20% in just a few years – but we’re not done growing those numbers. Let’s celebrate and recognize all of the women who continue to drive meaningful change and impact at Extreme and across the world.
