It's important for Employees to recognize the 'right time' to explore their career options. Perhaps it's a recent Graduate Degree or Professional Certification that another employer may value over your current one, or Emerging Industries that are capitalizing on attracting Competent Technical Talent from an under-thriving industry. In the case of this Chief Compliance Officer we placed, she went from $70k (with a company she was at for 8 years) to $220k over a 4 year span .... all by being 'Open' to hearing about career opportunities. One cold call from a Headhunter could change the trajectory of your entire career.

We continue to dive into the results of the recent Recruiting Madness polls. One that was particularly fascinating to me were the answers to "Is it more about the depth of legal experience or the breadth of your overall career experience?" 61% said Years of Legal Experience and 39% said Years of Career Experience. There is certainly no substitute for sitting inside a law firm and soaking up the nuance and service ethic. Here's our take based on our experience: if the experience is gained in a similar professional services setting, it should also be counted and so Years of Career Experience is the better indicator. It also puts everyone on the same level playing field and acknowledges prior experience where it relates.

How do you react to a recruiter who - contacts you to check your interest in a position and After a brief conversation, when you ask for a Job description - She copies your latest project description & and shares it as a Job description. How ethical is this practice? Is it fair to consider it a fraud?
