#MentalHealth 👉🏾 How do you know when it is the right time to QUIT or make a career PIVOT? During the mid-career season of our professional journey, many of us may be at an inflection point. This is a moment when we are either considering making a transition to another role, another organization... Or pivoting to an entirely different industry altogether. Especially during those times of unbearable deflation, when our personal values are consistently being compromised. Well, this may be the definitive sign that you should leave your present situation and pursue other opportunities. Why? Because your mental health matters. You should never ever compromise WHO you are, WHY you matter, and WHAT you stand for. And not just when you're trying to master and maximize those middle years... But at ANY age or career stage. Always remember... 👉🏾 Toxicity should never be tolerated. Pivot and protect your mental health. Let's go. 🚀 #personalgrowth #professionalgrowth #midlife #midcareer #midcareermastery

Such experiences can influence their interactions, coping mechanisms, and even their career choices. 🎥 This enlightening video offers a deep dive into the psyche of those who have faced childhood traumas and why they might grapple with anxiety, a heightened urge to appease, or even addictive behaviors in their adult lives. It’s not about labeling or sympathizing; it’s about understanding and empowering. As someone dedicated to rapidly addressing and healing the root causes of such traumas, I believe in creating supportive spaces where individuals can thrive despite their past. Interesting article on how we can support young people: “Sometimes, people are held back by the pressure of finding the perfect job. “I tell my clients the average twentysomething has nine different jobs by 35, so it’s not a one-time deal. It’s OK you don’t know what job you want at 35. Get the best job you can now, learn what you like and don’t like about it, then go for the next one.” #mentalhealth

This Mental Health Awareness Week I'm reminding myself that however challenging life gets, I've overcome everything it's thrown at me so far. That's not to say it's been easy! There have been a few times that toxic work environments have all but finished me. But it does mean I get to appreciate the good times more and handle the rough times better. Big changes have been made. I get to choose who I work with now. I choose to spend my time with people that shine a light rather than cast a shadow. I choose to be kind to myself and those around me. I choose to make a difference. I choose to do better. My choices are my choices. My decisions are my own. My challenges and risks are for me to decide. Despite the challenges of working for myself, the benefits and rewards are greater than any paid employment where somebody else holds the key to your future. Are you looking to find a better way, a brighter future? Call me, let's talk. #mentalhealthawarenessweek

Life + Wellness Coach | BSW | Mental Health Specialist | Motivational Speaker | Nutrition & Weight Loss | Retreats | Seminars | Workshops | Women Empowerment Events
One of the most difficult questions to answer for the majority of the women I’ve met is... “What do you do for self-care?” Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with women of all different ages and stages of life who struggle to adequately care for themselves. As a life coach and mental health specialist, I’ve counseled and supported these same women while they develop their sense of self, adjust through tough transitions, and address a range of stressors such as work, relationships, parenting, loss, and self-worth. In my personal life, I also see similar challenges with my friends, sister, aunts, and mother. And of course, being completely transparent (and no surprise), I admit that I too have struggled with self-care. After I inquire what these women do to take care of themselves, they often look at me as if I’m speaking another language lol. Sometimes, they’re unsure of the meaning of ‘self-care’ and when it could possibly fit into their day. You deserve self-care! You are worth the time! If your struggling to create a self-care routine or it feels too difficult to do it alone, make the first step and DM me. I would love to provide you the exact roadmap, guide and support you through your self-care journey. #careerguidance #mindsethelp #mindsetiskey #careertipsdaily #workstruggles #selfcaredaily #selfcarepage #worklifebalanced #lifeempowermentdkv #careercoachingtips #selfimprovements #confidencecoach #confidencebuilding #careertip #selfcareisnotselfish #weeklyguidance #selfcareeveryday #createthelifeyouwant #growthmindset🌱 #investinyourselffirst #selfcarecoach #careerwomen #purposefulliving #purposefullife #selfcarelove #worklifebalancecoach #happinesswithin #happinessisaninsidejob #worklifebalancegoals

FRUSTRATION FROM VIEWING OTHERS' ACHIEVEMENTS ON LINKEDIN IS A SIGNIFICANT ASPECT OF MODERN PROFESSIONAL AND SOCIAL LIFE Valdus conducted a thematic study on professionals' emotional experiences using LinkedIn. It revealed that frustration from viewing others' achievements on LinkedIn is a significant aspect of modern professional and social life. This can be explained through the Social Comparison Theory, where one determines their worth based on how they stack up against others. Platforms like LinkedIn often showcase the best aspects of people's professional lives, leading to the Highlight Reel Effect. Regular exposure to others' achievements can impact mental health, but it can also serve as motivation and inspiration. Cultivating a perspective that focuses on personal growth can help mitigate frustration. Platforms like LinkedIn and employers can encourage a more holistic representation of professional life, including challenges and learning experiences.
