Today marks my 12th anniversary at Oakleaf Partnership Limited! What a ride - alongside some really excellent people, both internally and externally, whom I value immensely 💚 And it's got me thinking (standard type A reflector...) The Gartner report on #quiethiring is a few months old now - but we're definitely seeing some of the key points play out in our client base, particularly for our contingent HR practice - leavers not being rehired, promotes made to fill gaps and more internal mobility. At a leadership level, you'd think there isn't space for the same 'mission creep'. But many of our network are 'double hatting' - is this good for careers or bad for productivity? Neither? Or both?! I currently wear three hats.... business director, people leader, executive recruitment specialist. It's been a huge opportunity for growth. I relish the diversity of my role, and the broad viewpoint that all three elements coming together give me but, speaking frankly, it took me a while to get things set up in a way that meant the time demands weren't completely overwhelming. What do even HRs do (apparently nothing) HRs don't do any real work, they're just a support function, this is what I've heard many people talk about Now is this true? I believe not!
