Today, the Supreme Court rejected a challenge that would have limited U.S. government engagements with social media platforms regarding threats that manifest online. Such engagements do pose risks, but at the Terrorism and Social Media (TASM) conference last week at Swansea University I told a story about how one such engagement helped Facebook undermine an Iranian influence operation built around the impersonation of the Proud Boys. You can read that story and the rest of my keynote on the Cinder website at: https://lnkd.in/gDwK-yYm Thanks again to Stuart Macdonald and the entire TASM crew for organizing and providing me the opportunity to speak. And thanks to Charlotte Willner, J.M. Berger, and Glen Wise, who all get namechecked. #tasmconf

If you'll be at Trustcon, it will be worth your time to check out Tina's talk. She's built some very cool tech to facilitate NCMEC reporting and will share lessons and best practices.
If you’re headed to #TrustCon and want to better understand the technical and operational complications of NCMEC reporting, be sure to add Tina Wu's session to your agenda. Tina not only built the automated NCMEC reporting process for Cinder, she has firsthand experience helping customers save hours of time on their child safety commitments! In her session she will share technical challenges she overcame while building the integration, and share insights on product tradeoffs and learnings of the reporting process. We can't wait to see you there! Check out the full agenda here: https://lnkd.in/gf7uMApg
