In this 2 months of my Presidency period I had couple of success and lots of failure too. But it gives me huge learning lesson and satisfaction that I tried strategically. It brought my maturity to next level in a very short period. ✅ Successfully restructured my organization after a huge downfall. ✅ Activated 8 departments in well-structured shape. ✅ Made collaboration and organized one of the Nation's biggest Career Carnival. ✅ Sorted out lots of conflicts between internal and external stakeholders; ensured a healthy work culture inside. ⛔ Failed in a big TedX collaboration due to National political instability. ⛔ Failed to organize a short recruitment due to intersession. ⛔ Slipped a totally new innovative activity collaboration with a reputed company. But every steps brought up a new version of my brain. Which made me more confident than 2 months ago.

🌟 Embracing Change: Stepping into a New Chapter 🌟 A new season is upon us, and with this change I have a change of my own to share with my network. After over 11 incredible years as the Head of HR for North American side of COWI’s business, I've made the decision to take my career into a different direction, and I couldn't be more excited about what lies ahead. This decision was not made lightly, driven by a deep desire to grow and be intentional about how I spend my time. With this step, I aim to seize the opportunity to explore uncharted territories, to answer my calling, and to dedicate more quality time to the ones who matter most to me—my family. I don't have a detailed roadmap for what's next. I look forward to expanding my network and exploring new ways to contribute. Most importantly, I'm taking a well-deserved career break to focus on my children, who are growing up way too fast. My wish is to be present with them, to cherish every milestone, and to be able to say that I didn't miss their childhood because I was too busy.  Many have been surprised by my decision “not to go anywhere” and I acknowledge that I am privileged to be able to take a break – not every person is in that position. I have come to believe that career breaks should be normalized as they are not just about personal rejuvenation; they are a necessity in today's fast-paced world. It's a time to recharge, rediscover passions, and reconnect with the things that truly matter in our lives. For me its family, growth and venturing out of my comfort zone. I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but you will never regret choosing family 👨👩👦👦 This decision isn't a farewell; it's a "see you soon" in a different capacity. And then, Ramadan arrived at a pivotal moment. My first resignation coinciding with this holy month was serendipitous, offering me a pause to reflect deeply on my career aspirations. My career path has been one of intentional exploration, a testament to the importance of embracing change and leveraging every experience as a catalyst for growth. Here are the valuable lessons I've gleaned: 1. Rich Lessons: Every role illuminated new skills—teamwork, leadership, organizational dynamics. Not mere stops, but signposts guiding my journey. 2. Reflecting on the month that just passed, how fast it went by just as we welcomed in the new year 2024. I welcome this new month with so much gratitude. It is all about having a positive mindset. I am particularly grateful for the surprise I received just a few days ago, and how by His grace I continue to be a blessing unto others. Almost 15 years ago, I remember transitioning from the corporate space to entrepreneurship. A task that requires courage,determination, and a strong will to succeed. It surely comes with its challenges and tests of one's leadership skills. At the same time, it is a rewarding experience when you are able to solve a problem, guide and advise where necessary, and watch others' journey into accomplishment. What was my surprise? Just imagine in this same company I have had the privilege of working with many employees across all walks of life, Staff have come and gone in my journey, I always wish them well as they step into their next phase. I recently had cause to connect with an old employee, one of my very dedicated staff. I was pleasantly surprised to be told that he was happily married with a son. Guess what? Yes, you may have guessed right he married a fellow former JSK employee. I am so grateful that my organisation was a blessing to them both. They now have a handsome young son. Congratulations, Femi and Adeola!. You never know at times when you are touching lives. Keep being good to all. The world is so small that anybody can hold the key to your success.
