At BMNT, what drives us is when we see the direct impact our work has on young people and their ability to make a difference. #H4Diplomacy student Isabella Santos recently shared her thoughts on the program's ability to “bridge the divide between government-adjacent work and equitable access.” As a student without established connections, this course provided her with the mentorship needed to navigate her dream career in public service. The program enabled her to interact with U.S. diplomats and personnel, gaining insights into the State Department’s inner workings and opening doors to further opportunities, such as the Charles B. Rangel summer enrichment program and the Freeman-ASIA award. “This hands-on opportunity deepened my understanding and solidified my desire to pursue a career in diplomacy,” Ms. Santos says. Passionate student learning from experience and exploring new opportunities in life. knows C and python programming language.
Thrilled to share a transformative experience as I recently participated in a Model United Nations (MUN) conference! 🌐 This immersive journey into the realm of international diplomacy has been nothing short of enriching. Over the course of the conference, I had the privilege of representing a raw chief, navigating complex global challenges, and engaging in diplomatic negotiations with peers from diverse backgrounds. Participating in MUN goes beyond the traditional classroom setting. It's a dynamic platform that challenges individuals to think critically, speak persuasively, and collaborate effectively. The experience not only refines one's understanding of international affairs but also fosters skills crucial for personal and professional growth. The heart of MUN lies in its simulation of real-world diplomatic processes. This involves researching, formulating compelling arguments, and defending national interests—all while respecting diverse perspectives. It's a microcosm of the global stage, where consensus-building and effective communication are paramount. What stood out for me was the camaraderie among participants. The conference provided a unique space to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for global issues. The exchange of ideas, the respectful debates, and the collective pursuit of solutions highlighted the power of collaboration in addressing complex problems. As I reflect on this experience, I am grateful for the invaluable lessons learned. From refining my public speaking abilities to enhancing my understanding of geopolitical dynamics, MUN has left an indelible mark on my personal and intellectual development. It's not just an extracurricular activity; it's a journey that equips individuals with the skills and perspectives needed to navigate an interconnected world. A big shoutout to the organizers, fellow delegates, and everyone involved in making this MUN conference a memorable and impactful experience. Here's to continuous learning, global awareness, and the pursuit of diplomatic excellence! 🌍✨ #MUN #ModelUnitedNations #Diplomacy #GlobalLeadership #PersonalGrowth

Deep Tech Diplomacy I Ethics Advocacy I AI Orchestration I Fusion-Tech Futurist I Quantum- ESG I Innovation Ecosystems I G20 WEF EU Mediator I UN Peace AmbassadorI Forbes I Board Advisor I Investor I TV I Speaker
Deep tech has a complex, multifaceted role. It can foster #innovation, can accelerate the attainment of the United Nations 2030 and 2050 agendas, and has the potential to augment human workflows. However, it poses risks to #cybersecurity, #ethics #privacy, and #nationalsecurity. This dual nature extends to #diplomacy, where deep tech diplomacy can be a force for good or trigger tectonic geopolitical shifts. Articles from the GLOBAL DIPLOMATIC FORUM , World Economic Forum , Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue and The Brookings Institution highlight these dynamics. UNESCO, UNPAF and GESDA - Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator ‘s efforts are pivotal and highlight how we can harness technology for positive diplomatic outcomes. I encourage you to enjoy the recording from our recent “Deep Tech Diplomacy Symposium” and access my article series on diplomacy included in the comments section covering #quantum-diplomacy, #web3 diplomacy, #cyber-diplomacy, multi-generational diplomacy, inclusive and diverse diplomacy, and others. Educating the next generation of tech diplomacy leaders is an imperative. I wish to extend my gratitude to Dieter Brockmeyer at the Diplomatic World Institute for the opportunity to be a faculty member for a new diplomacy course tailored for this deep tech-powered era. Meta has taken a different approach to Diplomacy Education and has launched CICERO “The first #AI to play at a human level in Diplomacy, a #tstrategy game that requires building trust, negotiating and cooperating with multiple players”. As a UN Peace Ambassador I will continue to advocate for responsible innovation to build inclusive, diverse and sustainable diplomacy ecosystems. #technology #deeptech #diplomacy #education #author #publishing #leadership #humanity #society #education #marketing #influencer #topvoice #linkedin

Embarking on my master's in diplomacy, development and international security was a natural progression in 2023, this was two years after completing my degree in international relations and security studies at Daystar University🎓. The intricate interplay of global affairs captured my interest and this pushed me to explore the nuanced realms of diplomacy and development😀. The master's program captivates me with its interdisciplinary nature and this has provided an opportunity for me to comprehend the intricacies of international relations while immersing myself in the pivotal aspects of development and security💯. Additionally, the all-encompassing curriculum has expanded my outlook on global affairs, underscoring the interwoven nature of these fields. Looking ahead, my career prospects have now gained a new dimension. Now that I am armed with a deeper understanding of diplomatic intricacies, development challenges and security dynamics, I am poised to contribute meaningfully to the evolving landscape of global affairs. The prospect of shaping policies, fostering international cooperation and addressing pressing global issues fuels my aspirations. I aspire to influence diplomatic policies, promote international cooperation, engage in humanitarian development projects, become a security expert, advocate for human rights and potentially pursue a diplomatic career. Additionally, contributing to academic research and policy analysis in the fields of diplomacy, development and international security is a key part of my multifaceted commitment to making a positive impact on the world. For those considering advanced studies, I strongly endorse the profound learning journey and professional development that an advanced degree provides. In a world defined by intricate geopolitical challenges, gaining specialized knowledge empowers individuals to navigate and drive positive change. The convergence of diplomacy, development and international security offers a compelling avenue for those, like myself, who are resolutely focused on effecting meaningful transformations on the global stage.

Thanks to The Diplomat for helping us explain why it's so important for Pres. Biden to reinstate The Fulbright Program Greater China. Thanks also to Colleen O'Connor, MBA, Edmund Downie, Amanda Henck Schmidt, and Elizabeth L. Lynch for your tremendous leadership in bringing attention to this important issue. The Fulbright Program Greater China was canceled during the previous presidential administration as part of an executive order. Pres. Biden can reinstate it with an executive order. Last year, only 211 American students studied in China. Person-to-person exchange is critical to prevent the escalation of global conflict. Restoring The Fulbright Program Greater China is a way to do that. #potus #diplomacy #china #highereducation #internationaleducation #peace https://lnkd.in/gPcEWcbU
