#Philippines reaffirms its commitment to clean energy at the Indo-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit In a significant display of commitment to regional economic collaboration, Philippines’ Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Fred Pascual reiterated the country’s dedication during the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) Ministerial Meeting held. Colleagues from The Embassy in Prague Lars Gade Holm and Svatava Majkova visited EOP (Elektrárny Opatovice, a.s.), together with an expert on the district heating sector Lars Gullev from VEKS. During the friendly meeting, they talked about decarbonisation, future strategies, modernization of the entire industry, as well as possibilities for mutual cooperation. Greening the industry! 🌿♻ Czechia is speeding the green energy transition from mainly coal to sustainable energy source. District Heating is widespread in country and there is expected to be large investment in the sector to improve the Energy Efficiency. District heating plays a key role in the Danish energy system. Denmark is one of the most energy-efficient countries in the world. The widespread use of district heating and combined heat and power is one of the primary reasons that energy efficiency has increased while carbon emissions have decreased in Denmark over the past several decades. Today, around 64 percent of all private Danish households are connected to district heating utilized for space heating and hot water combined ♨ 💦

It’s impossible to discuss Europe’s raw materials goals without discussing how we first achieve a competitive green electricity supply. Join our debate with European Copper Institute next Monday on what needs to happen here beyond the EU’s electricity market design proposal, to bring down prices and accelerate power purchase agreements. The discussion, moderated by Annika Brack, explored the importance of this concept in the context of European energy integration and crisis response.     Banet's insights illuminated the multifaceted layers of energy solidarity, from crisis assistance to fostering integrated European energy systems.
