Bionorica at Europaediatrics: Driving Innovation for Child Health! The Europaediatrics conference, held from April 17-21 in Antalya, Turkey, currently brings together pediatric experts and allied professionals to discuss the latest advancements and research findings. Bionorica is at the forefront, showcasing innovative approaches to improving the health of our youngest patients. 🧒 Our colleague, Dr. Claudia Bittner, Clinical & Scientific Advisor Research & Development, captivated the audience with her presentation on -”Patient-reported outcome measures for children with acute rhinosinusitis and acute bronchitis”. Her insights shed light on new treatment approaches. 🔬 Beyond Research: Engaging with experts and strengthening partnerships are also of great importance to us. #OTMONTH "Being at AOTA conference was a rewarding experience. I was able to connect with all areas of OT's expansive scope- from hand therapy, pediatrics, to community health. The conference reminded me of OT's unique role in helping the community, and I am excited to apply what I have learned in my practice." "My personal take-away from the conference was the annual Eleanor Clarke Slagle Lecture: "Bubble Wrap is for paper, not people". If we don't allow our patients to take risks and explore, and if we protect and guard them from everything, they won't reach their full potential. Allowing for safe risk provides the patient with respect, autonomy, and room to grow and make mistakes. By saying "you can't", we are essentially saying "you're not capable". -Kelsey Falon, OTR/L ✨Kelsey, you summed up this experience perfectly! Happy OT Month! #occupationaltherapy #ot #cota #CORApt #employeeexperience https://lnkd.in/gv3Mre2

Public Health Pediatrician,Physician Leader & Speaker. Equity-Focused Community-Based Autism Diagnosis and Care
Children’s Healthcare Canada is calling on the Canadian federal government designate a Chief Child Health Officer. With greater burdens on child health demonstrated every year, “this strategy would set targets and timelines to measurably improve kids’ health, a hallmark of other peer countries that report consistently higher children's health outcomes.” Let’s join in the calls for a high visibility #childhealthstrategy by calling on the White House and Congress to name and fund a Children’s Cabinet at the Secretary-level in the US. If we don’t invest in our future, what will our children’s future look like? American Academy of Pediatrics NASN https://lnkd.in/eAM68z69

Imagine the future of pediatric medicine… After a dramatic weekend of Ai news, I played around with some #genai this morning. This is the result when you ask Midjourney to "imagine the future of pediatric medicine." A few things in this image really stand out to me: ⚕ The child is wearing a stethoscope, and is put in the same role as the doctor behind her. She’s in control as she is role-playing being a doctor - something we know can be so impactful to reduce anticipatory anxiety and improve compliance with treatments. 📚 There’s colorful, presumably storybook imagery laid out on the table. Medical communication is seemingly brought into the language of children - in a format that they’re familiar with consuming and understanding. 🐻 Medical play! This child appears to be caring for the stuffed animals around her in the same way the doctor in the background might care for her. We know that this medical play is instrumental in helping children emotionally engage in their care. The only problem I have with GenAI’s interpretation of the "future", is that all of this is all already happening! Whether with our products, or some of the incredible work child life specialists (The Association of Child Life Professionals, Inc.) do in a hospital…the future is now! #design #ai #midjourney #midjourneyartwork #innovation #health #happiness #mentalhealth #empathy #goodnews #motivationmonday #socialimpact #pediatrics #healthcaredesign
