BETAH attended the 33rd annual Government Procurement Conference in Washington, D.C. This prestigious event, hosted by the Federal Business Council (FBC), is the largest and longest-running conference for small businesses seeking to partner with the government and prime contractors. Our Senior Director of Project Development and Execution, Nate Robinson, and Director of Marketing and Communications, Kelsey Felton, MA, PCM , had the opportunity to listen to engaging panel discussions, explore innovative procurement solutions, and discover new business opportunities. “I enjoyed hearing firsthand from procurement professionals about the latest industry strategies and advancements and participating in crucial networking discussions,” said Nate. We look forward to leveraging the insights gained at the conference to further support federal agencies with our comprehensive services.

We are thrilled to participate in the inaugural ELEVATE Procurement Conference in Jamaica, hosted by the Office of Public Procurement Policy (OPPP) under the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, Jamaica’s Public Sector single point of advice on procurement policy implementation. Determined to raise the standard of public procurement performance, the conference provides a forum for local and regional stakeholders, such as procurement oversight institutions, suppliers and international financing institutions, to share knowledge and discuss innovation. Steve Guppy, FCIPS, our Director of Procurement, presented alongside Andrei Bennett, Keith Nakasone and Doug Fraser on the most important aspects of procurement planning. To succeed, procurement professionals must ask themselves: 1. Why do we need it? Who is going to benefit? 2. Are all stakeholders aligned? 3. What would failure look like? How can we identify it? 4. What does define success? Where do we want to get to? 5. What are the drivers? Is it time, cost, quality or sustainability? Or all, and if so, in what order? Stay tuned for more insights on the conference and how to maximise procurement opportunities; if you would like to know more about our expertise, please reach out to Steve Guppy, FCIPS or Jane Crouch.
