🚀 Additional funding for our AI powered Copilot for the students of the MG2040 Assembly Technology course! 🎉 Plus some reflection on the preliminary results. Together with my colleagues Fabio Marco Monetti Fredrik Enoksson and Ludwig Kristoffersson we are thrilled to announce that our student support initiative using the copilot chat-bot has secured funding from the KTH Digitalisation Platform (https://lnkd.in/dGW_D2cY). This generous support will enable us to analyze the data collected and prepare a public report detailing the activity's impact. Since its introduction, our students have quickly embraced the copilot, using it frequently. The most asked question so far has been: when is the deadline to deliver the project? This and other general request for deadlines for various course moments have been very popular so far. A reflection: On the one hand these inquires about deadlines for project assignments reduces the number of emails and IRL questions I receive to "double-check" readily available information. This saves my time. Interestingly, while the copilot always advises students to verify information with me, not a single student has reached out so far. This indicates a growing trust in the technology's reliability! However, this shift also brings some more problematic and possibly negative effects. Traditionally, even routine queries provided an opportunity for me to engage with students on a deeper level. Questions about project details often led to valuable discussions and feedback. A missed opportunity? As we continue to integrate this technology, it's crucial to balance its convenience with maintaining meaningful student interactions. There's much to explore about the future of such innovations and the steps needed for their responsible integration. I'm looking forward to diving deeper into these considerations. Any thoughts? Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards transforming educational experiences with technology! #DigitalTransformation #EducationTechnology #StudentSupport #InnovationInEducation #GenAI #KTH #DigitalisationatKTH

A cadre for teachers on the lines of IAS/IPS/IFS at state and national level, establishing a new Ministry for immigration, financial support to all educational institutes on level playing basis, to have a single window system for approvals for new Universities, abolish concept of affiliating Universities and change the existing system due to which institutions shy away from getting NAAC accreditations etc. Private Universities must be treated at apr with government funded Universities while funding research. These are the main points that I presented there. Regards

Global Education Industry Leader | Extensive sales & marketing experience | Edtech solution guru | Customer centred thinker | Speaker | Media | PR
It has been a whirlwind visiting Melbourne for a week full of education technology, including the EduGrowth: Australia's EdTech Hub conference, EduTech Australia Pty Ltd conference and getting on campus at Monash University and Monash Business School. Two big takeaways: 1) Everybody is talking about Generative AI and its impact on education, and 2) there are a lot of opportunities to turn it into a force for good, rather than seeing it as a clear and present danger in #education Thanks to all the people I caught up with, a veritable treasure trove of Edtech innovators - Dr David Kellermann, Simon Torok, Kevin Rodrigo, Ken Rankins, David Linke, Colin Wood, Sean Tierney, Travis Smith, Claire Field, Margo G., Tom Richardson, Mark Lamont, Andrew Flood, Saxon Phipps, David Granzow and apologies for all those I missed! #generativeai #highereducation #digitaltransformation

Our three days in Nottingham at the Advance HE #TLconference2024 are coming to an end. Together with my lovely colleague Mia Stelsig Haagensen, we joined 620 conference participants in sharing perspectives and taking part in plethora of engaging workshops around the three key themes of this conference - teaching innovation (aka AI), student belonging and impact. What are my takeaways? Throughout the conference, I encountered these words that resonated with me: #Rethink: the times of disruption to the established practices call for rethinking - of assessment, curriculum, but also of what education is. #Cocreate: it's important to co-create with our students, external stakeholders, other HE institutions. Bringing in diverse perspectives could help us 'crack the code'. #Vulnerability: it's important to create spaces where our students (and us!) can afford to be vulnerable as this can be a powerful foundation for personal development. We should acknowledge that we are humans and build trust in our human and, therefore, vulnerable intelligence. As quoted in the first keynote: 'Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change' (Stephen Hawking). Oh, how we need it now...
