Every child deserves to start their day with a meal. Yet one out of five children go without breakfast at least once a week which can create long term challenges. Studies show that breakfast improves performance on vocabulary tests, math problems, and challenging mental tasks which are all important skills for them to master as they grow older. So in the spirit of Juneteenth, BCforward is proud to support the Boulevard Place Pantry in its mission to combat hunger in our community through our "Buy a Bowl of Cereal" Fundraiser. Our employees had the opportunity to purchase a bowl of cereal at the office for $5, and all proceeds went directly to Boulevard Place Pantry. It's a tasty way to give back! Want to join us? You still have time to pitch in. Our drive runs until the end of June. Here are two ways you can get involved: • Click on this post and donate directly to Boulevard Place Pantry. • Share this post. It only takes a second, and it makes a huge difference. Together, we can make a significant impact in the fight against food insecurity and help ensure that children in our community can start their day off strong. https://lnkd.in/ddYCTf57 #Juneteenth #CommunitySupport #FightHunger

Watch the video tour of the P.A.C.K. facility! Recently, we had an incredible PACK the Van event at the Isle of Hope, where we got an exclusive tour of the P.A.C.K. warehouse and distribution center, guided by Malena Stone herself! The organization and beauty she has infused into this space are truly breathtaking. For those who appreciate an impeccably organized environment (yes, fellow OCD friends, I'm talking to you!), this place is a dream. The bag-packing area operates with unparalleled efficiency – a model of streamlined operations crucial for packing over 4,300 weekly bags for kids. With 1 in 3 children in Southeast Georgia facing food insecurity, the impact of this efficiency cannot be overstated. Malena explained there are another 2000 kids on the waiting list for these food bags! But there's more to the warehouse than just efficiency; the shop area, thoughtfully designed by Malena, creates an experience akin to shopping in a high-end store for the kids. This beautiful, clean, and welcoming space is where children can select clothes and supplies that would otherwise be unaffordable for them. Additionally, it's here that 'emergency bags' are prepared for kids in urgent need, often with nothing but the clothes on their backs. These emergency bags, akin to overnight bags, are equipped with a change of clothes and essential items to support the children for a day or two. Words can not do justice to how impressive this place is – you have to see it for yourself. Check out our video for a full tour, and prepare to be amazed! In light of recent budget cuts, they desperately need the support!! (our ingenious politicians have cut 70% of their budget) P.A.C.K. needs our support more than ever to continue their vital work. Every donation makes a difference in combating child hunger in our community. Click the link below to donate NOW, and help us keep making a positive impact! Diaper need is a prevalent issue, especially in the wake of historic inflation, systemic racism, and job security. Over the past 2+ years, WestSide Baby’s responded to this ongoing crisis by increasing our distribution of diapers by over 60% to a growing network of partner organizations providing critical care to our community. The Bulk Diaper Program is WestSide Baby’s method of distribution to address diaper need with an emphasis on equity and innovation. This program is designed to address diaper need at a large scale in hard-to-reach communities by removing barriers and obstacles for organizations and the families they serve. ---- This week is Diaper Need Awareness Week – learn more about our Bulk Distribution program: https://lnkd.in/g5cCq9wR There is no better time to tell a friend about the issue of diaper need in our community, and to be part of the solution by supporting WestSide Baby and other diaper banks - donate now: https://lnkd.in/gBrh6uu5

You have a choice. Choose to help end hunger by donating, fundraising, volunteering—or any of the other ideas listed on this bingo card. As you make your shopping list for this holiday season, we hope you will consider adding items for our Cozy Drive. This will be our 2nd year organizing this drive and we are so excited to make a big impact. We are collecting all items ""cozy"" to keep kiddos warm and dry this winter season. We are looking for kids clothes, jacket, hats and other items that might help keep kids warm and dry. We are also collecting diapers and pull ups this year. Larger sizes are in the most need. These donations will be helping to support a couple of our favorite local organizations: NW Children's Outreach: this local organization functions as a collection and distribution center, collecting resources for children and distributing the goods to local Care Providers and organizations who meet directly with and prescreen the children. 15,000+ Children were served in 2022 A Family Place: this local organization helps families in many ways and they start with helping to meet a very basic need for their young children and will take all the diapers. More than 600 children and families are served each year. So while you are making your list, and checking it twice, won't you considering our cozy drive? Ideas to donate: Clothing for kids size 1 year to 18 years Jackets Hats Gloves Diapers- Size 3, 4 & 5 Pull-Ups Wipes #giveback #roofingcontractor #simplythebest #simplyaffordableroofing

😍 JOIN US TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! We have a fantastic opportunity to come together and combat hunger in our community. You can contribute in three meaningful ways: DONATE NON-PERISHABLE FOOD: Your generous donations of non-perishable food can be dropped off at either United in Faith (Fellowship Hall) or St. Cyprian's Food Pantry. These vital supplies will help us provide nourishment to those in need. SUPPORT WITH MONEY: Monetary donations play a crucial role in our mission's success. With your financial support, we can buy larger quantities of food from the Greater Chicago Food Depository at more affordable prices, maximizing the impact of every dollar. VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME: We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join us on Mondays and Thursdays during food distribution days. Additionally, on most Wednesday mornings, we need help receiving and sorting food items from the Food Depository, ensuring they are organized and ready for distribution. Your involvement, whether through donations or volunteering, will make a significant difference in the lives of those struggling with food insecurity. Together, let's create a ripple of positive change and ensure that nobody in our community goes hungry. For more information on large food donations or to inquire about perishable food items, please contact St. Cyprian directly. Join us in this meaningful cause! #FightHunger #CommunitySupport #VolunteerOpportunity #MakeADifference #TogetherWeCanHelp

In January we were able to help and support 1,050 individuals who came to use our free food section to support their own families, and over the course of the last 12 months we have been able to give away the equivalent of 168,968 meals worth of food. These numbers show us 3 things; 1) There is still a huge need within our City to support the most financially vulnerable. 2) The cost of living crisis is showing no signs of slowing, putting more families in a vulnerable position. 3) By utilising the free food we give away, we are able to keep families from requiring an emergency food parcel to survive. However, we cannot do this alone, your support is vital now more than ever and there a few ways you can help us in our quest to keep families from drowning. 1) Have a food donation/drop off point in your place of work. 2) Pleadge a small amount as a standing order to us (could be as little as £1). 3) Have your place of work use their CSR to support our work and set up a corporate standing order. 4) Just continue to share, comment, and like our posts so we can continue to reach out to those that need us and may not know we exist. We need you in the same way our community needs us.
