I'm proud! Last week, a global pharmaceutical organisation graduated their first cohort of the HOP champions. What a journey it was! We saw adaptations to constraints and how they enable progress but sometimes contribute to risk. We learned how to predict procedural non-compliance. We explored design heuristics and design / procurement requirements that create error traps. We learned simplified human reliability analysis and how to proactively identify a broad range of error producing conditions. We learned how the idea of root cause limits learning and a spectrum of investigation tools based on systems thinking and safety 2. We tried restorative dialog to recover trust and mend the relationships after failure. All of that and much more through a hands-on, practical approach. Here is what the participants said: "Your class is really impressive and thanks for your coaching." "I really enjoyed the journey! I am HONORED of being able to participate in this program!" "A great program, I thoroughly enjoyed it." I'm very proud of the students and their achievement! But the best part for me was to see all these concepts in practice and the tangible improvements it generated. Plus, workers loved it too 😀 as all the practical activities require partnering with and learning from those who do the work. Once you see safety through the lens of adaptations, constraints and capacity, you will never see the world in the same way again.

Just completed “Business Development Foundations: Alliances & Partnerships” - an interesting course that teaches you about building pharmaceutical alliances to be able to thrive in BD.
