Innovation is at the core when creating the next-generation of smart and sustainable products to every day, help billions of people move through a safer, more open world with ease. As an engineer at ASSA ABLOY you can expect hands-on practical work, problem-solving and using a creative mind, and a great team of colleagues of course. To highlight International Women in Engineering Day, we asked Jackie, Elin, Anupreeta and Crystal what they think about their job in the field at ASSA ABLOY: Jackie Carter, Senior design engineer, USA:   “My advice to women considering a career in engineering is to ignore the gender biases around STEM careers. Do what fulfills you and focus on perfecting that!” Elin Elfström, Mechatronics engineer, Sweden: “The engineering industry may not be as equal as you would want it to be, but we are moving in the right direction. Being a woman in engineering at ASSA ABLOY means being part of an inclusive and innovative team where your contributions are valued, and your career growth is supported. I encourage you to join us, where we dare to innovate ourselves, our products, and our industry.” Anupreeta Bandyopadhyay, Software developer, Sweden: “I am thrilled to engage with cutting-edge technologies, particularly advanced access control systems using digital wallets. What I like most about my job at ASSA ABLOY is the opportunity to work in close collaboration with teams internally as well as get customer feedback directly, freedom to innovate and get acknowledgement.” Crystal Cloherty, Development engineer, Ireland: “My work is so interesting, I am learning every day and am trying new things constantly. I have developed an “Anti-Counterfeiting” lab here in our Galway site and am everyday learning of new tests to conduct and new ways to ensure the security of our ID documents, and of course, the security of the citizens who use them.” #assaabloy #INWED24 #EnhancedByEngineering
