Approach your job search as a race and you will burn out. Instead, think of your job search as a game. In a race, you get obsessed with the finish line. You either win or you don't. In a game, a rejection is not failure, it’s feedback that helps you perfect your process. With every application, you improve your skills. With every interview, you better understand what works and what doesn’t. Day by day, you improve your resume, networking, and interview questions. It’s like any other game—show up to practice and the score will take care of itself.

IT Recruiter - Vention | Lithuania, Vilnius 🚀Looking for #QA Engineer #QA Automation Engineer #DevOps Engineer
❌ Rejection ❌ I think each of us has faced rejection after interview. 😨 However, everyone reacts differently: some people continue living their best live, some take it personally, and some engage in self-reflection and strive to improve their skills. Rejections often demotivate us not to apply for our dream job. 🙆♀️ 💡 As a recruiter, I can tell you that any rejection is an experience. Perhaps the recruiter accurately assessed your soft skills and you simply didn't fit with the future team. This saves both your time and the company's. If the rejection is based on technical aspects, you can use the feedback received to address any gaps in your knowledge. I'm asking you not to get upset! 🙏 Your ideal company simply hasn't opened a position for you yet. 💌 #dreamJob #interview #feedback

Pop quiz. What's one thing you should never do when you're interviewing? Appear desperate. Desperation suggests you want any job, not one that fits you. People can smell it a mile away. You know what I'm talking about. Have you ever walked into a store and been hit up right away by a desperate salesperson looking for a commission? Exactly. So how do you avoid coming across as desperate? 1. Be relaxed. Smile. Lean back in your chair. 2. Talk slower. 3. Ask great questions. These are questions on topics such as company vision, market strategy/strengths, challenges, role clarification, etc, and show you're interested in them, not just a job. These questions can help open up a thoughtful conversation. Good luck! —> Occasionally, I send emails with career, interview and job search advice, like this one. I was rejected in the interview and the reason was… Recently, I faced rejection after an interview I was really excited about. I remember being told, "We can't hire you. I don’t want to see you as one of our competitors in the future." It was a hard pill to swallow. But I understood their logic – if everyone thinks like this, who will be left to do the job? I mean many people will start their own thing sooner or later. No one wants to do a 9-5 forever, right? I have worked so hard and done things to improve my resume, learning new skills to be highly skilled at any service I provide, ensuring client satisfaction. So why doesn’t that make sense to add that experience to your CV? I have been rejected countless times but this reason was hard to swallow and didn’t make sense to me. How do you handle rejection? "If I get the interview, I'm getting the job" is easily the most important mindset to have in your job search and here's why ⬇ ⬇ ⬇ I've always looked at the resume and application portion of the job search as the necessary evil; the slog that gets one to metaphorical Eden. Sadly, landing an interview is a numbers game at the end of the day. Yes, you can optimize your resume. Yes, you can increase your odds by tracking when a position is posted and get in line first. Yes, you can do many things to give yourself better odds. BUT The most control you have in this entire process is when you are interviewing - tuning your antennas to this frequency will push your prep in the right direction. Let's dive deeper. When one does business development, they usually look at the sale as two parts: 1.) Reaching out and getting the meeting 2.) Converting the meeting to an account/sale This is no different as a job seeker. YOU are the product and YOU need to sell yourself - just leave the Belfort shtick at the door. Just as any business development pro would tell you: if you address the pain points with the value your product/service, you will win more often than not. Do this and watch what happens to your pass-through rate. #jobsearch #candidate #interviewtips #interviewing

•Don't Let Rejection Discourage You!• The job search can feel like an emotional rollercoaster. You pour your heart into applications, prep for interviews, then...silence. Rejection stings, and it's okay to feel that (it’s normal). But remember: •Rejection doesn't reflect your value as a candidate. •It's a normal part of the process, even if it doesn't feel normal. •It's an opportunity to learn and grow, and become an even stronger applicant. Here are some tips for dealing with job application rejections: •Maintain a positive outlook (even when it's hard). •Analyze the situation (was there anything you could improve?). •Keep searching (don't let discouragement stop you). •Take care of yourself (self-compassion is key!). •Don't give up! The perfect job is waiting for you, even if it takes a little longer than expected. #JobSearch #Recruitment #Tips #Positivity #Perseverance #Success

Can I be vulnerable with y’all? 6 months ago after countless rejections, multiple final rounds just to get the dreaded “We are moving with another candidate” emails I almost threw in the towel with my job search. It was rejection after rejection after rejection. 😣 My “WHY” kept me going. The job search can feel like: * Hitting send into the void * Never hearing back after interviews * Constant rejection emails But eventually, the right match says YES! When that day comes: * The “Nos” fade away * Your hard work pays off * You get to put your skills to use So keep persevering: * Lean in and tap into your network for job leads, recommendations, to be a voice of reason etc * Seek feedback to improve * Research interview tips and tricks aka Chat GPT Your “YES” is out there! Keep going! #motivation #keepgoing

You wanna hear the 2 biggest job search issues I see over and over again? 1. You applied to 10s (if not hundreds 😟) of Linkedin listings and haven't landed a single interview yet. 2. You landed the interview, but never got a callback. TL;DR: 1. If you fall into the first category, your approach is off. 2. If you're in the second, you either need interviewing coach, or your skillset & job search focus are misaligned. For #1 ➡ That means either your resume and/or linkedin profile needs an overhaul, or you aren't doing the correct groundwork to make the connections with actual people who can land you the interview. For #2 ➡ You might benefit from some interview coaching, and/or you need to take a hard look at the jobs you're applying for & the requisite skillset for that pool of applicants. The key to successfully landing a new job is assessing where you're struggling in your search, and methodically adjusting your approach until you see results! #jobsearchadvice #resumehelp #headhunting #jobhelp #linkedinhelp #findingajob #corporateadvice
