We are taking another significant step towards #sustainability! Since October 2022, the pipe extrusion at our headquarters in Attendorn (Germany) has been completely gas-free during the heating periods and has enabled us to save around 250,000 kWh of gas per year thanks to the skilful use of waste heat. Since February 2024, the injection moulding department has also been gas-free thanks to the use of waste heat and a heat pump. A saving of around 350,000 kWh per year is achieved here. And recently we have also been able to heat our Building 1, which houses our administration and prefabrication, gas-free in the winter months. This means a saving of around 400,000 kWh for us. In total, we can expect to save around 1,000,000 kWh through these three projects using our own products in combination with heat pumps, waste heat utilisation and well water. That's the equivalent of 240 tonnes of CO₂ per year! Thanks to all colleagues who contributed to the projects!
