Today is a massive milestone as we onboarded our 1000th AI engineer into Build Club! 🎉 It's crazy how fast we have grown (2x) in just a few months and gone Global in 6x countries supported by 8 incredible city leads. Behind the scenes as we have grown what we do it's been both insanely rewarding, but also not without good learnings along the way. The TLDR: Rewarding = - we expanded outside of Australia to SEA and the US and grew 📈 - tangible 'magic' moments of builders going from 0 to >1 - we had our first builder ship 50 build updates in our community - completed 'bounties' with local SMEs on AI projects and had our own 0 to >1 - new partnerships with the likes of like Supabase, Vercel, crewAI etc on learning content and build perks The learnings = - community is hard to scale effectively without platform - focus is the key to success, we always need to orient ourselves to why we started and where we can scale most impact, we can't solve every problem - know what matters, in this case at a point we lost focus on builders for a bit, we realized this and do dozens of checkins with members a week now But honestly, I've never been more excited 🚀. These are good learnings to overcome. Soon, we will be launching new things to reignite Build Club's impact. We know where we can drive the most impact is helping to build a world where anyone from any background can become an AI Engineer and through engaging our broader community of 4K+ to adopt AI in their journeys too. We have so much more to go... but we can't do it alone. As a sneak peak we will be launching the first of these new initiatives in our community soon which have more 👩🏻🏫 entry level foci open to anyone with a passion to up skill in AI.
