More than 30 top scientists have moved to Denmark under the Laureate Research Grant and Young Investigator Award. The Laureate programme is now open again for applications, with some changes, while funds from the Young Investigator Award are being moved to expand other programmes. The changes are a response to an in-depth evaluation of both programmes and to the evolving Danish research landscape. #Science #Grants #Research #Awards

📢 MSCA announces new call dates for 2024 calls The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions will support training, skills and career development of researches by funding doctoral programmes, postdoctoral fellowships and collaborative projects with over €1.23 billion in 2024. 📆 The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions have published the indicative calendar of calls for proposals for 2024. 👩🎓 👨🎓 Postdoctoral Fellowships Postdoctoral Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of postdoctoral researchers wishing to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. The 2024 Postdoctoral Fellowships call will have a budget of €417.2 million. ⏳ The call will open on 10 April 2024 and close on 11 September 2024. 🌍 Doctoral Networks Doctoral Networks allow doctoral programmes to train doctoral candidates in academia and other sectors, including industry and business. The scheme provides specific incentives to set up Industrial Doctorates and Joint Doctorates. The 2024 Doctoral Networks call will have a budget of €608.6 million. Thirteen research projects at Umeå University will share over 9.4 million euros, currently equivalent to almost 106 million Swedish kronor. The majority of these projects have received grants within the EU's largest framework, Horizon Europe, which encompasses calls for proposals ranging from health to space research. Research Development Programs UB fosters research development by offering programs that engage its faculty, their mentees, as well as external researcher collaborators and their stakeholders. Weekly Research-in-Progress (RIP) meetings are scheduled. These multi-disciplinary gatherings allow UB researchers an opportunity to share their current or developing research interests with colleagues. The goal of these gatherings is to nurture critical partnerships, facilitate research excellence, and thereby raise UB’s profile as an emerging research institution well positioned to secure external funding. UB also offers Biomedical Behavioral Research Seminar once per semester. The emphasis in this programming is designed to shift the institutional research culture from individual research operations (single discipline) to team science and shared resources (inter-disciplinary) for collaboration. 🔍 Key figures from the latest #MSCA #Doctoral #Networks round, an #EUfunding call for implementing international and inter-sectoral doctoral programmes, and how to compete in future rounds. The 2023 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions call for Doctoral Networks turned out highly competitive. Out of the 1066 #applications submitted to the European Research Executive Agency (REA), 128 were selected for #funding which gives a success rate of 12%. In total, the European Commission will support 128 doctoral programmes with €443M. This means that more than 1900 doctoral candidates, in and outside #academia, will receive training and develop skills. 💯 The cut-off score for funding ranged from 95% to 97.6% out of 100%, depending on research field. 4 out of the 13 proposals that scored 100% had received help from Innovayt. #Congratulations to clients being selected for funding and #kudos to colleagues!
