Earlier this week, I was honored to represent my team and speak on an e-commerce panel at Midsummer 2024, hosted by Nosto, in partnership with Klaviyo, Domaine, and Shopify at the dreamy Brooklyn Winery. I love sharing how we tackle the challenges of selling fragrance digitally. While we don’t have brick-and-mortar stores, our retail and e-commerce footprint is constantly growing, making our online flagship www.nestnewyork.com not just an important selling channel, but also a hub for product discovery, education, and validation. Last year’s site redesign aimed to elevate the brand and increase user engagement. Just three months after launch, we saw double-digit improvements in page views, site speed, and users who made it to checkout. Little did we know that this marked the start of our unified commerce journey, focusing on centralization and personalization. For NEST New York, unified commerce—or the evolution of omnichannel—means "showing up" for our customers and meeting their expectations with relevant, personalized experiences from ad exposure through post-purchase. Balancing our rich legacy in home fragrances with constant innovation in fine fragrances and fragrance technology is a tough but exciting challenge that we've embraced. Several people shared kind remarks after our panel. As someone who has struggled with public speaking my whole life, words of encouragement have been incredibly validating. Thank you to everyone for supporting me, the e-commerce team (Hallie Greenberg, Jade Fern, Erica Kale), and our brand on this promising journey.
